📍NEWS UPDATE | PROLOG–WONJAMBA GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING
Today, the peaceful village of Wonjamba came alive as the PROLOG Project held a remarkable General Assembly Meeting at the residence of His Majesty Chief Njie Elvis Esuka, Traditional Ruler of Wonjamba.
The purpose of this meeting was to evaluate the developmental needs of the community in line with the principles of climate resilience, as provided under the World Bank’s support program to Cameroon. This initiative, which has benefited the Limbe I Council with a grant of over 500 million CFA francs, aims to foster sustainable development across 25 communities (quarters and villages) within the municipality.
In attendance were His Majesty the Chief and his cabinet, the notables of the village, the PROLOG team from the Limbe I Council, Smart Center Ltd partners, and several Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who actively participated in the discussions.
Key priority projects identified include accessibility(roads, bridges & culverts), security(electricity and streetlights), and other essential community needs that align with the village’s long-term development goals. The people of Wonjamba reaffirmed their commitment to working hand in hand with the Limbe I Council to ensure that these selected projects are successfully realized for the growth and wellbeing of the community.
The meeting ended on a note of unity, hope, and shared vision — reminding all that together, Wonjamba stands ready for sustainable progress. 🌿🏡💪
