One of our co-founders and active members, Mr. Mbuh Ernest Taneth, has been selected for the Africa SDGs Mentorship Programme – 2026 Cohort.

This remarkable achievement reflects his dedication to sustainable development and youth-driven climate action. Through this programme, he will gain deeper insights, practical knowledge, and valuable mentorship on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—tools that are essential for driving impactful, community-centered solutions.

We are confident that this opportunity will not only enhance his personal growth and leadership capacity but will also significantly strengthen our organization’s ongoing sustainability projects, climate initiatives, and long-term vision.

Au cours de la période du 7 au 20 janvier 2026, j’ai eu l’opportunité en tant que chef d'équipe de participer à une mission de suivi écologique dans le paysage de Mintom, dans le cadre du programme Sustainable Wildlife Management (SWM) mise en œuvre par le CIFOR-ICRAF. Cette mission avait pour objectif principal d’évaluer l’état des appareils (pièges photographiques et acoustiques) de monitoring de la faune mis en place avec les communautés locales au mois de novembre 2025.

L'ensemble des postes de pièges photographiques et postes acoustiques ont été visités, ainsi que la collecte de quelques échantillons ADNe dans les cours d'eaux bien défini. Ce suivi nous a permis de récupérer une partie des données, de remplacer les équipements dysfonctionnels, ceux détruit par la faune sauvage et ceux disparue. À cette occasion, j’ai également pu appliquer une nouvelle méthode d’estimation d’abondance absolue basée sur la calibration des distances, afin d’améliorer la précision des données issues des caméras.
Malgré certaines contraintes de terrain notamment la saison sèche, le tarissement de cours d’eau, les zones marécageuses difficiles d’accès, la mission a permis de consolider le dispositif en place pour améliorer la qualité des données collectées et de renforcer les compétences des communautés locales en suivi écologique.

Je retiens de cette expérience, une collaboration enrichissante avec les communautés locales (BAKA et FANG)

today the 25th November the Cameroon Environmental Champions participate in an event organised in bafoussam by ARCS, NEETS NET and COECAM with objectives based on the LES ABUS A L'INTEGRITE PHYSIQUE ET PSYCHOLOGIQUE EN MILIEU PROFESSONNEL.
With enriching discussion from participants from the different sectors of life such as Ministry of employment, CNPS, TRADITIONAL RULERS AND OTHER CSOs ..
An event that brought together about 25 participants..

it ended with everyone proposing an engagement by saying no to discrimination in the workplace..
