Children and Community work in the Sub-divisional Office of Santchou 🎉💪🏽🎉

At Global Compassion's Computer Lab for Children (open since 2016), we don't just teach IT knowledge to the Children and youth, we also share together the civic engagement and community responsibilities.

Our volunteers, Bertini Ewoussoum and Arnaud Mezah Assoua were at the Sub-divisional Office of Santchou yesterday to make a clean up of the area with the Children from the Computer Lab.

The Sub-divisional Officer came out to say his satisfaction and congratulations for the initiative. He encourage the team of Global Compassion for the leadership in the community and for the various projects such as the water projects in some villages so far.

We will Keep it Up for more Impacts in the community ✌🏽

Exciting Holidays for Children in Santchou 🎉

Children are enjoying the IT training for the holidays in our Computer Lab for Children. This Lab is open since 2016 and have done so much to learn IT knowledge to hundreds of vulnerable Children in the council.

One of our values is Social Inclusion, bringing together children from diverse families, different faiths and cultures in a unique location. Muslim and Christian children learning and playing together to help them build strong relationships and to love each other.

Our team of volunteers are working daily to educate them with the small number computers we have and give them a chance for exciting experience.

We still need more computers and hopefully, we can receive them from potential supporters/donors who can send PM or Inbox to us.

Summer Holidays in Tech with the Children 🎉

Early July, our team started the summer holidays program for Children in our Computer Lab for Children launched since 2016 in Santchou Council.

Every year an inclusive program bringing together children from english and french speaking schools, with Muslims and Christians together to have a wonderful learning experience and playing together as well 🥰

Our volunteer Bertini is working together with others from our team to bring exciting outcomes to our summer program this year.

The inauguration day was yesterday in Ntiem village for our water project💧

Safe drinking Water is now flowing from taps in Ntiem village with free access for all💧 ❤️ 💦

The government official came along to testify this impactful project in the presence of the Chief of Ntiem village and the population from the neighboring villages as well. The Chief and the government official all, express their satisfaction and happiness in the name of all the villagers.

Children present got their first toast with clean water in their village for the first time ever. A Mother while drinking the potable water also share a cup with her baby 🥰

There's nothing to say more, than saying THANK YOU to our donors ❤️

All set for the inauguration day in Ntiem 🎉💧💦

The Water project is already tested and water is flowing on taps in Ntiem village, prior the inauguration day.

Our team was busy day after days for many weeks now. And we are already there to give joy and a safe drinking water for the first time ever in this remote village 💧

We can't wait to drink this potable water together with the people of Ntiem village and the surrounding villages during the inauguration day 🎉 (see short video in comment👇🏽👇🏽 👇🏽)

Good step forward : Water Project in Ntiem Village💧💦

Exciting milestone for the water project in Ntiem village 💧 💦

What important milestones both from the water towel under construction ( the slab plateforme is done ), and the well digging process ( water is already there and ready for the pumping system), nozzles also increased in numbers to be used in the next days.

The community is involve in this process and Happy for the steps completed. Some villagers also came yesterday to help the builder's team to lift the concrete up using buckets manually to the water towel structure at the slab up.

Step by Step, we are getting there and Water will flow on taps soon... 💧

Ntiem village in Santchou subdivision, have never experience the acces to safe drinking water, since many decades now. This water project is a life changing and impactful project for the whole village and the surrounding villages.

Work progress in Ntiem village 💧💦

Our team is busy with many tasks at the moment in the project site for our water project for Ntiem village.

The small water towel under construction, nozzles also are built, and the well also progressing very well with our building team.

We are going to another step very exciting soon, stay connected to see water flowing on taps for the first time in this remote village in Santchou subdivision, Cameroon.

Progress of the Water project in Ntiem 💧

Right after our information meeting with the villagers, our team started to implement the Water project the next day. Here below are some images of the work going on, in the project site at Ntiem junction.

This project will serve thousands of people from Ntiem and the nearby villages. The impact after having free water access will be easily mesurable, considering the lack of safe drinking water in the area since many decades.

The building of the water towel already started, the well is progressing and the nozzles also under construction. Major part of the building materials already transported to the village despite the road challenges.
