ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! 🕊️💔 | SAY NO TO FEMICIDE IN CAMEROON 🇨🇲
How many more women must die before we finally say ENOUGH?
This issue hits very close to my heart because I have seen the pain of domestic violence in my own family. My mother suffered a lot of domestic violence, and sadly, she passed away at a very young age. 💔
Losing my mother is a pain I carry with me. But knowing that she endured violence before her life was cut short makes this fight even more personal for me.
That is why I cannot remain silent.
Behind every woman who is killed is a story.
A daughter.
A sister.
A wife.
A mother.
A friend.
A woman with dreams, hopes, and a future.
And when a mother is violently taken from this world, her children are left behind to carry a pain they never asked for.
Children who will ask, “Where is my mother?”
Children who will miss her voice.
Her embrace.
Her guidance.
Her protection.
Her love.
Children who may grow up carrying wounds that nobody can see. 💔
Women should not be killed because they said NO.
They should not be murdered because someone feels entitled to control them.
They should not lose their lives because of jealousy, anger, rejection, or domestic violence.
A woman is not a possession.
A woman is not a punching bag.
A woman is not disposable.
HER LIFE MATTERS.
To the men who choose violence: Walk away. Seek help. Control your anger. Do not turn your hands into weapons.
To women experiencing violence: Please know that your life matters. Your children need you. You deserve safety, dignity, respect, and love.
To families, communities, churches, leaders, institutions, and authorities: We must do more.
Listen when women speak.
Believe victims instead of judging and questioning them for bringing their family issues to public spaces.
Intervene when you see violence.
Protect women and children.
Hold perpetrators accountable.
Let us stop treating domestic violence as a “family matter” that should be hidden behind closed doors.
Violence is not love.
Control is not love.
Fear is not love.
Let us raise boys who understand that strength is not violence and masculinity is not domination.
Let us raise daughters who know their lives are valuable.
Let us build a Cameroon where women can live, love, raise their children, and grow old without fear of becoming another statistic. 🇨🇲
I lost my mother far too young.
I know what it means for children to grow up without a mother. 😭😭😭😭
I don’t want another child to experience this pain.
One woman killed is one life too many.
One mother taken is one family broken.
One child left without a mother is one heartbreak too many.
🕊️ DENLO FOUNDATION SAYS NO TO FEMICIDE.
NO MORE SILENCE.
NO MORE EXCUSES.
NO MORE NORMALIZING VIOLENCE.
NO MORE MOTHERS LOST TO VIOLENCE.
LET OUR WOMEN LIVE.
LET OUR MOTHERS LIVE.
LET OUR CHILDREN KEEP THEIR MOTHERS. ❤️
