Praise God!
Today, 28th March 2026, the VWMs Bamenda gathered for their branch meeting and it was truly impactful. The atmosphere was rich with powerful teachings on parenting, marriage, and lifestyle, leaving everyone both encouraged and equipped.
Parenting Session – Giving Instructions That Children can Follow
The session opened with Sis Nain, who shared practical insights on how to give instructions that children can actually follow.
Key highlights included:
• Clarity in communication: Instructions should be simple and clear. Parents should confirm understanding by asking children to repeat the instruction back.
• Age-sensitive communication: The way we speak to a toddler is not the same as how we speak to a teenager. Attention spans and comprehension differ across ages.
• Modeling behavior: Children learn more from what we do than what we say. Parents must embody the values they expect.
• Teaching values intentionally: Don’t assume children will “pick it up”, values must be taught deliberately.
• Understanding disobedience: When a child doesn’t follow instructions, something likely went wrong—perhaps they didn’t hear, didn’t understand, or were not convinced.
• Consequences and consistency: Set realistic consequences, follow through, and revise where necessary.
It was a deeply reflective session that reminded parents that effective instruction is both a skill and a responsibility.
Marriage Session – Building Marital Bliss
The teaching continued with Momy Eve, who delivered a powerful session on building a thriving marriage.
Some key takeaways:
• Marriage is God-ordained—a permanent union between two different people.
• Foundation matters: What is built during courtship shapes the marriage.
• Guard your thoughts: Be intentional about rejecting negative thoughts and nurturing positive ones. We are not victims of our thoughts but empowered to fight any negative thoughts.
• Speak wisely: Words carry power choose them carefully. Like the Virtuous wife she opens her mouth with wisdom….
• Focus on what works: Instead of magnifying problems, appreciate and build on what is working.
• Avoid comparison: Comparison blinds you to the beauty and uniqueness of your own marriage.
• Love intentionally: Love your spouse and even the people connected to them—what you build in others eventually builds you.
• Submission with purpose: Submission is presented as alignment with God’s design, fostering unity and peace in the home. Do your part as the wife.
• Sacrifice is essential: Marriage requires effort, growth, and intentional work.
• Keep learning and growing: Knowledge and self-belief strengthen both the individual and the relationship. A man appreciates a wife that is knowledgeable, learn even about sports and what is happening around the world that way you can contribute even to a meaningful conversation
It was a session filled with wisdom, honesty, and practical guidance for sustaining a blissful marriage.
👗 Lifestyle & Beauty Session
The day was beautifully rounded off with interactive games and a lifestyle segment led by Sis Patty.
She shared practical tips on understanding body types and dressing confidently, introducing:
• Apple shape
• Pear shape
• Inverted triangle
• Triangle shape
• Figure 8
Participants learned how to choose clothing that complements their unique body shapes, promoting both confidence and self-awareness.
The meeting was not just a gathering—it was a moment of growth, learning, and connection reflecting the purpose of virtuous wives and mothers equipping mothers and wives to build blissful marriages and raise godly seeds one woman at a time.
Indeed, it was a day well spent, full of wisdom, laughter, and transformation.
