CANU-Association for Care and Development Provide care to the underprivileged population and bring development

CANU Association Cameroon- a nonpolitical, non-religious and not for profit association- started in 2008 in Bafut North West Region Cameroon, as an assistance group to the aging. Its sole objective was to assist the aging with medical help, nutrition and provision of basic needs. Not long after, there was need to carter for the increasing number of underprivileged children especially orphans and s

treet children. The group then decided not to limit its assistance only to the aging but also to include the vulnerable children-those who needed assistance. Since then, the group has been working with a number of widows and children (mostly orphans and marginalized children) including those that have physical disabilities. In the light of its activities, this group of benevolent young men and women attracted the attention of others who shared the goals and mission of the group. It was at this juncture that it was decided that an association be created to take “care of the aging, needy and the underprivileged” persons throughout the national territory. CANU was then created on the 27th April 2013 and it operates with Authorization No: 1220/2013/RDA/C19/SAAJP of 17th December 2013

We are a community based organisation with an aim to build a better future for the people we work with through formation, education scholarships and other Community development projects

The Association for Care and Development- a nonpolitical, non-religious inclined and not for profit association- started in 2008 in Bafut North West Region Cameroon, is a community development organization aimed at changing the living conditions of people in the country especially those of the rural communities where health care, portable water, electricity, education and others are inaccessible/lacking or a thing of the rich. We run outreach programs in health and Training, education/scholarship schemes to the underprivileged. To better the health conditions of the people or communities where we work, we are putting up health centers where health professional and proper health care can be available at an affordable cost to all in alignment with Goal 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals "Care and Development Association" was created on the 27th April 2013 and it operates with Authorization No: 1220/2013/RDA/C19/SAAJP of 17th December 2013.
