Sunday the 8th of June 2025 was a special day for the youths of Songmonda as The Izam charity association and its resource persons had a down to earth discussion with them on r**e and s*xually transmitted diseases.

We can proudly say after an intensive three hours conference, these young boys went back home fully aware of the Spiritual, Medical, social and judicial implications of r**e.

We are coming to other communities this holidays because that's the period where r**e stories multiple themselves.

Today we commemorated Menstrual hygiene day under the theme

Unlike the other years,this year we opted in creating smaller groups of 15 girls because we wanted to have a tête à tête with them, understand them as individuals ,then make them ambassadors of Menstrual hygiene. It was a wonderful exchange of ideas as the girls opened up to one another,sharing their menstrual experiences.

We also had a question and answer session with brilliant marks ,a sign that the lessons were well understood.

Our first set of 15 girls left happily with IZAM CARE KITS(little bags containing (a disposable pad, a reusable pad,hand sanitizer,a cotton pant,a Menstrual bracelet,a calendar and a Menstrual hygiene booklet). For emergency or first aid henceforth they shall not be surprised or embarrassed by unexpected menstrual flows .

This year we also added DOUBLE FUNCTION HOT WATER BOTTLEs for young girls with menstrual cramps. In this way they can ease menstrual cramps with warm liquids or placing hot water bottles under the belly.
