✨ Symposium Malaria : transmettre, inspirer, impacter ✨
Le Symposium Malaria, ce n’est pas seulement un cadre scientifique… c’est avant tout une vision portée par une femme d’exception : Dr Agnes Ntoumba , fondatrice du symposium, reconnue pour son impact au niveau national et international.
📊 Il y a une semaine, nous avons eu le privilège de participer à une formation sur la visualisation et le traitement des données avec R, qui s’est tenue du 12 au 13 mars 2026 à l’Unité de Biologie et Physiologie des Organismes Animaux, Faculté des Sciences de l’Université de Douala.
Ce fut bien plus qu’une formation… un véritable moment de partage 💡
Des enseignants, des doctorants-chercheurs et des étudiants en master réunis dans une ambiance conviviale, où chacun apprenait de l’autre. Un espace où les rôles s’effacent pour laisser place à la connaissance.
Ce qui marque le plus ? Son humilité.
Bien que reconnue en biologie, elle a su sortir de sa zone de confort pour explorer la modélisation mathématique, partageant avec nous les connaissances acquises à l’Université de Glasgow grâce à la bourse AREF obtenue en 2024.
🌸 En ce mois dédié à la femme, elle nous rappelle une chose essentielle :
Une femme peut porter plusieurs casquettes, exceller… et surtout être un leader inspirant.

The Malaria Symposium is more than just a scientific event… it is a vision driven by an exceptional woman: Dr Agnès Ntoumba founder of the symposium, recognized nationally and internationally for her impact in science.
📊 A week ago, we had the privilege to attend a training on data visualization and processing using R, held from March 12–13, 2026, at the Unit of Biology and Physiology of Animal Organisms, Faculty of Science, University of Douala.
This was more than just a training… it was a true moment of knowledge sharing 💡
Lecturers, PhD researchers, and Master’s students came together in a collaborative atmosphere where everyone learned from one another. A space where roles faded, giving way to pure knowledge exchange.
What stands out the most? Her humility.
Although widely known in biology, she stepped out of her comfort zone to explore mathematical modeling, sharing with us the knowledge she gained at the University of Glasgow through the AREF scholarship obtained in 2024.
