Taking the Message to the Grassroots

What better day to stand before hundreds of incredible women than on a day the world pauses to celebrate them!

This International Women's Day, we went beyond celebration. We went into action. In continuation of our ongoing campaign on teenage pregnancy prevention and girl child empowerment, we had the privilege of collaborating with the Sub-divisional Delegation of Women Empowerment and the Family. We had the honor of addressing the women of the Bonjongo Court Area during their International Women's Day gathering, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric.

Our message was intentional and clear:
Firstly, Teenage pregnancy does not begin and end at the school gate, it is a community conversation, and as women, we are at the center of it.

Secondly, mothers are the FIRST mentors of the next generation and the FIRST guardians of the girl child's rights.

Lastly, the leaders of tomorrow are shaped by the women of today, so we must all swing into action.

We then called on all community women present, to take intentional, conscious action in grooming and protecting the girls in their homes and communities, and not be silent, because when a woman is informed and empowered, she multiplies that power in everyone around her.

The turnout, the energy, and the hearts open to receive this message made this one of the most memorable outreaches yet.

We at Hearts That Bind Foundation , express deep and sincere gratitude to Mami Delegate and the entire staff of the Sub-divisional Delegation of Women Empowerment and the Family Buea, for this collaboration and for creating a space where this conversation could happen. Together, we are building communities that refuse to leave their daughters behind.

Thumps up to every woman doing the quiet, powerful work of raising the next generation.

The work continues.

March 8, 2026 Pictorial Highlights of the celebration of the International Women's Day, at the Bonjongo Court Area - Buea.

This year's International Women's Day, Hearts That Bind Foundation had the incredible honour of collaborating with the Sub-divisional Delegation of Women Empowerment and the Family, to celebrate alongside the wonderful women of the Bonjongo Court Area and it was nothing short of beauty and elegance.

Ebue Margaret Minette Founder of Hearts that Bind Foundation, graced the platform to speak on something we hold dear: "the role of women as the first mentors and guardians in raising the next generation of Women Leaders." Which falls in line with the theme of this year's celebration:
"Rights, Justice, Action for ALL women and girls."

Her talk anchored it's relevance to the fact that, the justice we desire for all girls starts from home. Mothers being the pillars of the home need to wake up and take Action against the prevalence of moral decadence among our youths particularly the girl child.

We firmly believe that, collective action is needed, if we truly want to end vices like teenage pregnancy and raise the next generation of Women Leaders.

Our sincere gratitude goes to the entire staff of the Sub-divisional Delegation of Women Empowerment and the Family Buea for their collaboration.

Happy International Women's Day to every woman choosing to show up for herself and for the generation coming after her.

💜🌍 Happy International Women’s Day – March 8, 2026

"When you empower a woman, you empower a generation"

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, brilliance, and impact of women and girls in Cameroon and across the world.

This year’s theme “Rights, Justice, Action for All Women and Girls” reminds us that empowering women is not just a celebration — it is a responsibility.

When women have equal rights, when justice protects their voices, and when we take real action to support their dreams, communities grow stronger and the future becomes brighter.

At Hearts That Bind Foundation, our mission is rooted in compassion, unity and empowerment. We believe that when women rise: families prosper, communities grow stronger and nations advance.

Today and every day, let us stand for women, support girls, and build a world where every woman can rise.

To every woman: Your voice matters. Your dreams matter. Your future matters.

Happy International Women’s Day! 💜

Meet the Voice That Stood Out.
When she spoke about peer pressure, it didn’t feel like a speech. It felt like truth.

The pressure to fit in.
The pressure to say yes.
The pressure to be who everyone expects you to be.

Her message and resilience reminds us that real change begins the moment someone chooses to speak up even when it’s uncomfortable. Secondly, that true strength is choosing yourself, even when it’s hard.

Today, we celebrate not just a participant but a young woman brave enough to speak for every youth who has ever felt pressured to shrink, change, or compromise.

Your courage is powerful. And we are proud.
