Day of the girl Child.

Every girl deserves an opportunity for a bright future. On this day, we encourage the global movement to advocate for the rights of the girl.
We call on more solidarity to support and protect girls in crisis affected communities.

Let us keep focusing on providing girls with the tools and opportunities to become the best versions of themselves.

Access to education remains in challenge in most remote communities in Cameroon. We are happy to have visited Boma, a community located at the creeks in Tiko sub-division.
During our time there , we raised awareness on the importance of children's education, donated school items and didactic materials to the community.

This will facilitate the resumption of schools and increase literacy. We are grateful to have partnered with Lesley Foundation and the Baptist Church for this activity.

The Campaign is part of our commitment to ensuring that adolescent girls and young women are not left behind in development processes as a result of not being able to safely manage their periods.

Our rallying cry is for pads to more accessible, and most importantly, affordable to facilitate menstrual health and dignity.

What does a girl need to succeed?
The confidence of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
The authenticity of Njobati Sylvie.
The tenacity of Kah Walla.
The resilience of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
The fearlessness of Sally Mboumien.
The vision and purpose of Rebecca Enonchong.
If you think you need one or two of these to thrive, you’re right.
If you think you need all of it and more, you’re very right.

Our next big thing is all about helping adolescent girls and young women embrace these values, through bold conversations on the issues that shape their lives.

Can you guess what this next big thing is?😎

Hi, I’m Eucharia and I proudly add my voice to a .

Tax on pads is literally tax on our periods. Evidence shows that removing this tax reduces the financial burden on girls and women, improves menstrual health, and means fewer girls stay home from school.

Let’s make periods affordable, dignified and tax-free.
It’s 2025 , menstruation shouldn’t be a luxury.

This year’s International Youth Day reminds us that youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, we are leading today. We are demanding policies that put equity first, that remove barriers for girls and young women, and that recognise menstrual health as a human right.

Our message is clear: Tax on Pads is Tax on Menstruation. End it now.

Every month, millions of Girls face the same visitor , no, not your nosy neighbor - menstruation. And guess what? It’s not optional. Yet pads, a basic necessity, are still treated like luxury items in Cameroon.

Taxing pads is like taxing air , unfair, unnecessary, and honestly ridiculous. Removing this tax could slash period poverty, improve menstrual health, and make life a little less stressful for those who menstruate.

🎒 How Period Poverty Steals Girls’ Education 📚
1 in 10 girls in Africa misses school during her period because she can’t afford sanitary pads. That’s not just a statistic—it’s a stolen lesson, a missed opportunity, and a future put on hold.

🟡 Girls without pads can miss up to 20% of the school year.
🔴 Menstrual stigma and lack of hygiene support push them even further to the margins.

💡 When girls can't go to school, inequality grows.
Their dreams shrink, and so do their chances of economic independence.

In Cameroon, many girls drop out—not because they lack ambition—but because they lack access to basic menstrual care.

✊🏽 This is why we say: Taxing pads = Taxing education.
