Small Change, Big Smiles: Support a Girl in Tiko.

Every girl deserves to dream without the weight of shame or worry. On the remote islands of Tiko, many young girls face their cycles without basic hygiene essentials, often missing school and losing confidence.

This May, the Lesley Foundation is on a mission to change that. Just 1000frs or a single pack of pads can restore a girl’s dignity.
Will you help us reach them? Your kindness, whether through MoMo or in-kind donations , ensures no girl is left behind.

Call for support and partnership

The situation in the Creeks Island community of Tiko is critical. This hard-to-reach area, home to many vulnerable migrant families, lacks basic social amenities, leaving young girls to face the harsh reality of "period poverty" in silence. Without access to sanitary products, many are forced to stay home, missing vital school days and falling behind their peers.

We urgently need your support for the "One Girl, One Pad" campaign. A contribution of just $1 can provide a pack of pads, ensuring a girl can learn and dream without interruption.

The Lesley Foundation was honored to participate in a high-level workshop on the legal framework for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Cameroon. Organized by GIZ Cameroun, Tchad, RCA, Gabon et Sao Tome-et-Principe and support by Union européenne au Cameroun in collaboration with the Ministère de l'Administration Territoriale du Cameroun , the training focused on strengthening institutional mechanisms and fostering trust-based partnerships.

The Lesley Foundation is proud to participate in the ongoing Co-Creation and Training Workshop for Alert GBV Lite. This vital platform, supported by Wetech: Women In Entrepreneurship & Technology , UNFPA Cameroon , and the Union européenne au Cameroun , provides survivors of gender-based violence and depression with instant access to AI support, emergency tools, and medical referrals.

By contributing to this digital ecosystem, we are ensuring that young people in our communities have safe, anonymous, and life-saving resources at their fingertips.

Together, we are bridging the gap between technology and community protection.

In the heart of conflict-affected communities in Buea, the Lesley Foundation interns are sowing seeds of hope. We recently hosted an immersive climate education session, empowering primary pupils to understand the local impacts of climate change.

Beyond the classroom, we moved to action. Hand-in-hand with these young environmental stewards, we held a tree-planting exercise, turning mitigation strategies into tangible roots for the future. In areas facing instability, environmental restoration isn't just about the planet, it’s about building community resilience.

Together, we’re growing a greener, more sustainable tomorrow.
