The second and final day of the TWG session was oriented to other activities of the project that included :

The Examination of reports from partners and consultants by members of the TWG ;
Report synthesis presented by the Technical Secretariat and finally;
The closing remarks by the Project National Director.

On the first day of the Fifth Technical Working Group Session, the activities began by :

• The Arrival and registration of members of the Technical working Group (TWG) by the Technical Secretary ;

• Verification of quorum by the national president of the project ;
• Discussions on the methodology to be adopted by the TWG members ;
• Technical analysis of documents by TWG members ;
• Examination of reports from partners an consultants of some of the TWG members and the
• Formulation of recommendations and end of work for the first day by the TWG members.

A Fifth Technical Working Group Session of PINESMAP-BPCE Project was held to review the reports submitted by both project partners and National consultants.
The two (02) days working session saw the participation of the PINESMAP-BPCE Project National Director, the Project Management Unit, the Vice president of the TWG who also doubles the Director of Conservation at MINEPDED, the IG of MINEPDED and other key stakeholders.
The working session was also attended by resource persons and mangrove specialist who played a vital role in ameliorating and improving upon project reports and documents submitted to the PMU for technical analysis.

PINESMAP-BPCE was born at the 9th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the aim of which was to contribute to poverty eradication and sustainable development and to the revised Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 .

THE VISION OF THE PROJECT

Our vision for 2020
Integrate biodiversity into national and local development, while making agriculture a pillar of growth in the pace of indigenous life.
Poverty reduction being a major objective of the PINESMAP-BPCE project, so as to register it in the national accounts as a major actor of development via "the development of policies taking into account biodiversity and ecosystem services in the environmental and strategic assessment ".
