As part of the several activities to mark Menstrual Hygiene Month, Gracious Gifters Foundation and her partners were at Dash Radio on the 9th of May 2026 to take the conversation to the airwaves!!

We believe that breaking the silence starts with clear, accessible information. During our session, we discussed the essentials of Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), covering:

✅ The Basics: Defining MHM and why it is a pillar of health and dignity.
✅ Smart Pas Disposal: How to properly dispose of used pads to keep our environment clean.
✅ Practical Alternatives: What to do when traditional pads aren't available. (What else can we use in the absence of pads)
✅ Daily Hygiene: Simple tips for staying fresh and confident during our periods.

One of the biggest lessons from this session is the massive hunger for this information!
By partnering with fellow organizations, we are not just talking; we are empowering women and girls across Buea to manage their cycles safely and without shame.

Huge thanks to Dash Radio for providing the platform to amplify the project.
Together, we are making a a reality!

It is that time of the year again where we get to amplify the sensitization we do about menstrual hygiene, break stigmas, and challenge the silence as we prepare to commemorate International Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28, 2026.

Menstrual hygiene is not just a health issue; it is a matter of human rights, education, and fundamental dignity.
Globally, millions of girls and women are held back by a lack of access to sanitary products and the weight of social taboos.
The International Menstrual Hygiene Day, serves as a vital reminder that a natural biological process should never be a barrier to a girl's potential or her seat in the classroom.

At Gracious Gifters Foundation, raising awareness about menstruation is planted into our DNA. Through our flagship Red Pride Project, we have spent the past years moving beyond the "shame" narrative to foster a culture of "pride" and empowerment.

Our work has consistently focused on:
- Dismantling Social Constructs: We work tirelessly to deconstruct the myths that lead to stigma, ensuring that menstruation is seen as a sign of health and strength.
- Education & Digital Inclusion: By integrating health education with our commitment to digital and vocational skills, we ensure that women and girls are equipped to navigate the world with confidence even on thier periods.
- Institutional Advocacy: We don't just talk; we act. From developing policies such as safeguarding policies, to ensuring our outreach is transparent and impactful, we advocate for "period-friendly" environments in every sector.

The success of Red Pride Project lies in the power of collaboration. We also collaborate with powerhouse partners to ensure our impact reaches every corner of our community and this year is no exception.

Join us as we paint this month Red and work together for a .

Standing in Solidarity Against GBV in the Southwest Region

Yesterday, Gracious Gifters Foundation was proud to march alongside the Southwest Regional Delegation of Women's Empowerment and the Family, the UNFPA, and fellow civil society organizations in Buea.

Our collective mission was to break the silence on the alarming rise of gender-based violence, sexual assault, and feminicide in pur communities. At Gracious Gifters Foundation, we believe that "Enough is Enough."

Our Advocacy Priorities:

- Justice & Accountability: Ensuring perpetrators face the law.
- Survivor Support: Reaffirming that no survivor walks alone.
- Institutional Strengthening: Partnering to improve protection and response mechanisms.

We are committed to building a future where women and children live free from fear. It is not just a women’s issue; it is a community responsibility.

Gracious Gifters Foundation (GGF) recently joined the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT) and the World Bank at the Merina Hotel in Yaoundé for a strategic workshop dedicated to the Jobs for the Poor (J4P) Impact Program.
This initiative is a direct response to the pressing challenges of unemployment and poverty affecting vulnerable populations across Cameroon.

The workshop focused on establishing a flagship national program designed to consolidate existing economic inclusion projects.
The goal is to reach 60% to 70% of poor and vulnerable households starting with a comprehensive national action plan running through April 2027.

Key Pillars of the J4P Initiative:
Unified Social Registry (RESUC): Establishing a centralized database to identify and select 1.8 million targets for economic inclusion programs.

National Coordination: Strengthening synergy between existing projects by developing a comprehensive national map of economic inclusion initiatives.

Institutional Framework: Advocating for a formal legal structure and a National Solidarity Fund to ensure long-term financing and stability for these programs.

For Gracious Gifters Foundation, this workshop directly aligns with our mission of feminist advocacy and community-based empowerment.
By contributing to a national framework that prioritizes coaching, mentorship, and entrepreneurship, we are ensuring that youth and women are not just recipients of aid, but active drivers of their own economic resilience.

Together with our partners in the Coalition for Change, we are committed to building a sustainable ecosystem where every Cameroonian has the opportunity to thrive.

What happens when women show up not just for themselves, but for the next generation?

Last Saturday at Rhema Grace Orphanage, Ombe, we found out.

Our Outreach in commemoration of International Women's Day 2026 was more than an event it was a declaration. That rights awareness belongs in every room. That girls in orphanages deserve to set visions, write letters to their future selves, and receive the tools to get there.

Together with our incredible partners Gracious Gifters Foundation, Lead Child Africa, JUNA Cameroon, and others we filled that room with intention:

✅ Rights Awareness Workshop
✅ Vision Board & Goal Setting
✅ "Letters to My Future Self"
✅ Empowerment Kits & Nutritional Support

The faces in that room reminded us why this work cannot be a once-a-year conversation.
Rights. Justice. Action. These aren't themes for March they're the work of every month, every quarter, every year.

To every partner who showed up, every facilitator who poured in, and every girl who sat in that room daring to dream, thank you.

The question isn't whether we do this again. It's when and where next.

On March 25, 2026, our team at Gracious Gifters Foundation joined fellow humanitarian actors in Buea for a vital one-day training on the Prevention from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).

Hosted by the SUDAHSER Foundation, this intensive session focused on strengthening institutional capacity for organizations operating in the South West Region and Fako Division to be able tp respond to Sexual exploitation in environments we serve.

In humanitarian settings, power imbalances and high-pressure environments can unfortunately increase risks of all types. As active partners in the communities we serve, we recognize that it is our collective responsibility to uphold the highest safeguarding standards.

Through this training, We reinforced that our obligations under the IASC Six Core Principles and Code of Conduct are a 24/7 duty, extending far beyond official working hours.

We explored ways to improve Community-Based Complaints Mechanisms (CBCM) so the populations we serve can always have a safe way to complain and provide feedback.

We've learned technical protocols for Data Protection to ensure the absolute safety and confidentiality of survivors and whistleblowers.

Through case studies and reporting simulations, we sharpened our ability to handle complex field situations with integrity.

✅ Keep strengthening our internal capacity to prevent and respond to SEA.
✅ Enhancing our confidential reporting pathways.
✅ Ensuring our Programme, Protection, and Field Teams continue to engage in regular safeguarding training.

We are proud to work alongside our partners to ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

*World Water Day 2026 — Water & Gender*

Today, in Cameroon’s North West & South West regions, conflict and climate change are breaking water systems that families rely on. Women and girls carry the weight—walking farther, spending hours collecting water while caring for homes, food and energy. Yet when water committees meet, their voices are often absent.

At Gracious Gifters Foundation,we are reflecting on this reality: if women live water every day, they must lead its governance. Water management can’t be “men’s work” while women bear the load.

Inclusive water planning = stronger systems. When men, women, boys and girls share decisions, access becomes fairer, solutions last longer, and entire communities are safer.

This , GGF commits to putting gender at the center—because where water flows, equality grows. Let’s make water a priority, define roles for all stakeholders, and ensure equity isn’t an idea but a practice.

"Rights are not gifts; they are requirements for a just society."

Today Gracious Gifters Foundation joins the world to commemorate the International Women’s Day 2026.
This year’s theme, "Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls," is the heartbeat of everything we do in our communities.

We see the incredible resilience of women in communities we serve every single day. But let it be clear that resilience should not be a prerequisite for survival. True progress requires a shift from passive support to systemic action.

At GGF, we are moving beyond traditional charity to focus on real, lasting change:

Legal & Human Rights Advocacy: We empower women in conflict-affected areas with the knowledge to demand the justice they deserve.

Economic Justice: Through vocational training and education, we create sustainable autonomy so no woman is forced to stay in an unsafe situation due to financial dependence.

Health Equity: We are breaking down barriers to sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and providing essential mental health support.

We aren't just "giving" (GIVE TO GAIN), we are investing in the infrastructure of equality. When women come together to learn and lead, they take ownership of their futures.

Justice for women is a global imperative.

To our partners, stakeholders, and the global community: It is time to move past the theory. It is time for ACTION.

Join us in dismantling the barriers. Stand with GGF as we champion the rights of every girl and woman in Cameroon. 🇨🇲💪

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS NOTES

The successful completion of the project, "Power in Structure: Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of Gracious Gifters Foundation for Sustainable Feminist Action and Impact," was made possible through the collaborative efforts, dedication, and shared vision of our partners and supporters.

We are profoundly grateful to African Women's Development Fund (AWDF) for the financial support and technical flexibility provided throughout this grant cycle. Your belief in the importance of institutional strengthening for grassroots organizations has provided GGF with the "Roadmap for Resilience" necessary to scale our impact. We especially appreciate the granting of a no-cost extension, which allowed us to navigate regional insecurities without compromising our project goals.

Our sincere thanks goes to the Lead Consultants who spearheaded the development of our five-year Strategic Plan (2026–2030) and our foundational Institutional Policies (Safeguarding, HR, and Financial Management). We also recognize the expert Facilitators of the 08-Day Capacity Building Workshop held in Buea. Your ability to translate complex feminist theories into practical organizational tools has sparked a "mind-shift" that will define our leadership for years to come.
We celebrate the active participation and solidarity of our partner organizations: Just Now Action - JUNA, Hope In Pink Foundation and Lead Child Africa. Your commitment to the intensive training sessions and your willingness to engage in honest power analysis have laid the groundwork for a robust feminist movement in Cameroon. We are honoured to grow alongside you.

Finally, we acknowledge the resilience and dedication of the GGF Team. Despite the challenges of operating in a conflict-sensitive environment and navigating compressed implementation timelines, your commitment to "Safe Programming" and organizational excellence has been exemplary.
"Institutional strengthening is not just an administrative task; it is an act of feminist resistance and sustainability. We move forward from this project stronger, more aligned, and ready for the next five years of impact."
