This announcement by CAF is deeply troubling and exposes the clear double standards and institutional bias that have characterized this tournament. As an individual Cameroonian citizen residing in South Africa, speaking independently and not on behalf of the Cameroon Football Federation, I strongly condemn CAF’s actions and omissions.

CAF claims to uphold professionalism and sporting ethics, yet it has failed to address the most fundamental violation raised not only by Cameroonians but by football fans, analysts, and observers across the world: the non-functioning or selective use of VAR during the Cameroon–Morocco match. This is not speculation; it was widely observed, publicly debated, and documented. Ignoring this central issue while rushing to investigate Cameroon alone raises serious concerns about procedural fairness and credibility.

The regulations governing CAF competitions are clear, yet multiple violations occurred and were openly disregarded by CAF leadership, including the President himself. Instead of acknowledging these failures, CAF now seeks to shift focus through disciplinary actions that appear selective and punitive, giving the impression of a predetermined narrative.

The growing perception among the global football community is that CAF is actively protecting Morocco and engineering conditions favorable to seeing Morocco lift the trophy. When oversight mechanisms like VAR fail and no transparent, independent legal or disciplinary framework is applied evenly, the integrity of the competition is fundamentally compromised.

CAF Head Office must understand that football belongs to the people, and the people are watching. Credibility cannot be enforced through press releases while legitimate concerns are ignored. Until CAF demonstrates transparency, accountability, and equal application of its own rules, these investigations will continue to be viewed as politically motivated rather than justice-driven.

LOOKING AT AFRICA THROUGH ECONOMIC AND INVESTMENT PRINCIPLES UNDER THE AfCFTA

Africa’s development challenge is not the absence of resources or ideas. The real challenge is how we apply economic and investment principles to achieve industrialisation and sustainable growth.

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) offers Africa a historic opportunity but its success depends on how well we understand how economies and investments actually work.

At the foundation of long-term prosperity is productivity the ability to produce more value with the same resources. For Africa, this means moving beyond exporting raw materials to building industries, regional value chains, skills, and technology. AfCFTA expands Africa’s market size, making industrial investment more viable and competitive.

Growth is often driven by borrowing and public spending, but debt must be supported by productive economic activity. Africa’s challenge is not debt itself, but debt that does not generate income. AfCFTA improves the quality of growth by supporting manufacturing, value addition, and export-oriented industries that can sustain jobs and revenues.

Economics and politics are inseparable. If growth does not create jobs and reduce inequality, it leads to instability and policy uncertainty. For AfCFTA to succeed, it must deliver real benefits to SMEs, young people, women, and informal traders. Economic integration without inclusion is not sustainable.

From an investment perspective, every investment is about future returns. AfCFTA strengthens those future returns by reducing market fragmentation, improving predictability, and creating a continental framework for trade and investment. Just as investors diversify portfolios, Africa must diversify its economies away from commodity dependence and toward value-added production.

AfCFTA is not an end in itself. It is a tool for industrialisation, investment mobilisation, and long-term economic resilience. The real work lies in applying sound economic and investment principles consistently and strategically across the continent.

Understanding how the system works is the first step toward changing outcomes for Africa.

🎉 Empowering Volunteers and Development Professionals in Buea! 🎉

On October 16, 2024, in the beautiful city of Buea, I signed a partnership agreement with the Berine and Bokwe Foundation (BEBOF), in partnership with Core Care Africa, to train volunteers and staff in portfolio management, program management, and project management for development organizations.

This initiative is made possible through funding from Creating Hope in Conflict and Grand Challenge Canada. Our goal is to equip young graduates, who are volunteering with various organizations in Africa, with the skills they need to make a meaningful contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDGs 1, 2, 3, 6, and 10.

During the training, I focused on:

Helping the volunteers understand the structures of non-profit organizations and how operational, program, and project management are different but interrelated.
Explaining why it’s essential for organizations to focus on a specific SDG that they are competent in and leverage partnerships and collaboration for greater impact.
Teaching them how to develop extra skills through online resources, in addition to their university degrees, to truly excel in the non-profit sector.
Emphasizing the importance of creating weekly plans, setting milestones, and providing honest feedback to ensure transparency and accountability in their projects.
Competence in the non-profit sector isn’t just about having a degree—it’s about continuous learning, practice, and a commitment to making a difference. I’m excited to see how this partnership with BEBOF and Core Care Africa will help young professionals in Buea and beyond create sustainable change.

Together, we’re building a stronger non-profit sector and empowering those closest to the beneficiaries to make a lasting impact! 🌍

Dear Cameroonian from the North to the South, from the North West to the West ,from the center to the south west, from Adamoua to the East region, from the far north to Littoral etc .

We should understand that there is beauty and power in unity. We must be united in heart and mind. One Cameroon, one people.

No one can undermine our national unity. We need a broad government which will make decisions, bringing together a variety of individuals from distinct cultural, ethnic, tribal, and social backgrounds in a specific setting or polity for a common good ,but not a national unity government, because we are divided from within. We seek the right to play our part in advancing the cause of national defense and national unity.

Army and the Nation: Happy national day to all Cameroonian.
