Mental health matters. Your mind deserves care too. 🧠💙

During our engagement with the congregation of PCC Likomba, Freemind Center opened an important conversation about mental health and emotional well-being.

We reminded the congregation that struggling does not make you weak, and carrying everything alone is not a sign of strength. Sometimes, the most important step toward healing is simply finding someone safe to talk to.

We encouraged everyone to:

* Recognize when their mental and emotional well-being needs attention.
* Talk openly with trusted people instead of suffering in silence.
* Seek professional support when challenges become overwhelming.
* Build supportive relationships where people can speak without fear of judgment.
* Practice healthier ways of managing stress, grief, anxiety, and emotional pressure.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You just need to know that reaching out is okay.

Let’s create communities where talking about mental health is normal, seeking help is accepted, and nobody feels they have to face difficult moments alone.

Your mental health matters. Your voice matters. You matter.

Empowering Young Minds at the Equipped for Life (E4L) Boot Camp!

Today, Thursday, 6th August 2026, the Freemind Center had the privilege of serving as expert facilitators at the Equipped for Life (E4L) Boot Camp held at the Catholic Church Parish of St. Pius X Mission Station, Bota Middle Farms, Limbe.

Our team of staff and peer counselors engaged over 100 campers in interactive sessions on important life topics including:

✅ Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)
✅ Peer Pressure
✅ Consent and Boundaries
✅ Building Healthy Relationships

The day began with a lively general session led jointly by our male and female facilitators. Participants then moved into breakout sessions, where the boys met with the male facilitator and the girls met with the female facilitator. These separate sessions created a comfortable environment for open discussions, questions, and meaningful learning.

To conclude the day's activities, the Freemind youth workers introduced the newly launched Freemind Mobile Counseling App. Campers were encouraged to download and install the app and to share it with friends and family. Through the app, young people can easily access trusted counseling services as well as accurate Sexual and Reproductive Health information and education, all from the comfort of their smartphones and with the support of standby counselors.

As part of our visibility and community outreach strategy, the Freemind team arrived at the camp in our 19-seater Freemind branded bus, proudly showcasing our commitment to bringing youth-friendly services closer to the communities we serve.

We sincerely thank the Equipped for Life (E4L) Boot Camp organizers for the invitation and the opportunity to invest in the lives of these amazing young people. Together, we continue to empower youths with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to make healthy, informed, and responsible life choices.

Yesterday’s Freemind Center Talent Show Auditions was everything we hoped for and more! From soul-stirring vocals to breathtaking dance moves, powerful spoken word, jaw-dropping fine arts, and unforgettable acting performances — our young people came ready to shine. ✨

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up, showed out, and reminded us why we do this. Your courage to step on that stage and share your gift is talent in itself. 🎤🎭🎨💃
