*Successful implementation of ROOT Biz October 2024*

Our postponed ROOT Biz quarterly farmers workshop from October finally took place today, December 5th. It had been delayed due to security concerns and poor road conditions, which made it difficult to reach the community. However, we are excited that it has finally happened.

The session was highly interactive, with farmers sharing the various challenges they face in agriculture, their motivations for farming, and their hopes for the future. Our team of volunteers offered practical tips and sustainable solutions that are tailored to their environment. These insights aim to help farmers improve their farming activities, rebuild their soils, increase crop yields, and take advantage of market opportunities. We also emphasized the importance of community collaboration, where neighbors support one another with knowledge, seeds, tools, and more.

At the end of the session, the 30 participants (Majority, 80%- youths) received essential farming tools, such as hoes and cutlasses.

What stood out for the NASLA-Africa team were the difficult road conditions to reach Fringyeng village in Sub-division, in the Momo division of the Northwest region of and the positive, encouraging feedback from the farmers. Their smiles and enthusiasm motivate us to do even more in the future.

We sincerely thank you all who support NASLA-Africa's mission to address food insecurity, heal the land, and build sustainable communities.

Mathias Ako'a Tah The Ideal Planet.

Every year, humans produce 300 million tonnes of plastic waste, including 11 million tonnes that eventually wind up in the ocean. By 2050, there could be more plastic than fish in the ocean.

Everyone can use their voice and their choices to . Consumer pressure and individual actions —such as refusing plastic cutlery and straws, using refillable water bottles, and bringing your own coffee cups and shopping bags— are key. Yet, real change needs to come from companies, investors, policymakers and governments.
