Our Traditional Rulers are currently brainstorming on the second edition of the Tukubum Cultural Festival, which is scheduled to hold from the 19th to 23rd of November 2025, in Fonfuka Bum Sub-Division.

Christ Emmanuel Nyatung, Vice President of the Bum Student Union at the University of Bamenda (UBa), visited GBHS Fonfuka today, and it was truly an inspiring experience as the Principal and staff gave a warm welcome, and the students' keenness was evident. He sensitized the students on the importance of education, discipline, and community spirit, encouraging them to aim high and strive for excellence.

Rembering Tantoh Dom – Fondly Called Eto

Late Tantoh Dom, whom the people lovingly called Eto, was a revered traditional sage and devoted servant of the Kwifonabum in Lakabum. A proud descendant of Saff, he bore the noble title of Tantor, the trusted voice of the Kwifonabum.

When Eto stepped into the market square, hearts quickened and silence fell, for his words carried the authority of the Kwifonabum itself. His presence commanded respect; his message bound the community together.

Since his journey to the ancestors, the seat he once graced remains empty, awaiting a spirit of equal strength and wisdom. Such is the sacred order of Bum ,where the Kwifonabum stands as the heart of our tradition, administering and safeguarding the affairs of the land.

May the memory of Tantoh Dom, our beloved Eto, endure like the timeless hills of Bum.
