And its a wrap 🎬

We are proud to release 30 healed, educated and economically empowered women back into their communities, not as victims or survivors but "Strong women" who will champion the fight against within their communities. 💪

Our dynamic facilitators joined by our CEO Andiensa enhanced the knowledge of these women on BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND LIVELIHOOD PLANNING. Under this theme, participants learned
- Small Business Management 📊
- Marketing and Customer Relations🗓️
- Record Keeping and Risk Management🗂️
- Developing Individual Business and Livelihood Plans📝
Participants presented their business plans, got peer feedback, developed their action plans, and took the training evaluation through a post-test.

Day 3's as expressed by some participants completed their healing as they sang and spoke words of declaration at the "COWOPNET Healing Village", lit candles of hope and light and burnt the tissues of tears, saying goodbye to all the sorrows, trauma, and pain as the move forward.

Day two of our Training of 30 GBV Survivors on Psychological and Economic well-being.

Through group work sessions role-plays and testimonies, participants had the opportunity to increase their knowledge on
- Survivor Rights and Survivor-Centered Response.
- GBV referral pathways and available services.
- Personal Safety planning and protection strategies.
- Entrepreneurship: Identifying livelihood opportunities
Financial Literacy, budgeting, saving and financial planning.

With this knowledge, these survivors are gradually being molded into role-models, healed and empowered for the upliftment of hundreds and thousands of GBV survivors within their communities.

Day one ends with our GBV survivors starting their healing process and having increased knowledge on GBV from our facilitators.

With exciting and interactive sessions on the GBV tree mapping and self care routines, participants give various incidents faced, effects, proposed solutions and learn better ways to manage these incidents beginning from self.

They also got through a self healing therapy session which saw tears flowing down the chicks of women who have carried pain, bitterness and trauma from Abuses within our region under this sociopolitical upheaval.

Tomorrow we continue this beautiful learning and healing process with these beautiful survivors.

Training of 30 GBV survivors on psychological and Economic Wellbeing.

It’s yet another step into our project on 'Strengthening GBV Prevention and Protection of Survivors in Crisis-Affected Communities of the North West Region of Cameroon’ Funded by AFD - Agence Française de Développement through ALVF Association and implemented by Clotilda Andiensa .

This activity aims to strengthen the psychosocial wellbeing and economic resilience of women and girls affected by the ongoing crisis over the next three days. Participants from Mezam, Momo, and Boyo Divisions will engage in capacity-building sessions focused on trauma recovery, psychosocial support, safety planning, and livelihood development. The training also includes practical skills in entrepreneurship and small business management, empowering survivors to rebuild their lives sustainably.

Following this training, survivors will receive start-up capital to support their income-generating activities. Together, we are working towards a future where survivors can access vital services, recover from trauma, and achieve economic independence.

CAGEAD Empowers 30 Female GBV survivors in Boyo.

As part of the commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflicts 2026, CAGEAD prioritized economic empowerment to combat Sexual exploitation and abuse in local communities in Boyo Division.

Poverty identified as a root cause of Sexual Violence within the conflict in the Northwest region also doubles as the major cause of the poor financial state of many families. With the burden hanging on the head of many female survivors of the conflict who have children to feed, provide shelter, education, clothing, pads, and other basic necessities, they are pushed to remain silent in incidents of s*xual violence with no financial power or knowledge to fight back given our context. Some of these women and girls engaged into transactional s*x to get basic needs.

CAGEAD identified this problem and intervened through the provision of some food items for feeding and for small businesses to raise finances that can cater for needs subsequently. Beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude and thanks to CAGEAD and African Women's Development Fund for thinking of them.

WAKA WAKA 4 PEACE 🌿

Yesterday, CAGEAD proudly joined women and men peacebuilders, partners, and stakeholders for the "Waka Waka 4 Peace" walk in commemoration of the 64th Pan-African Women's Day under the theme: "Driving Lasting Peace, Justice, and Empowerment Across Our Continent."

The walk served as a powerful call for peace and highlighted the indispensable role of women in peacebuilding, especially in the context of the ongoing crisis in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon.
Our journey ended at the Bamenda Central Prison, where we shared hygiene kits with female inmates, including mothers with young children. This gesture was a reminder that every woman deserves dignity, hope, and the assurance that she is not forgotten regardless of where she finds herself. Many of these women have been affected directly or indirectly by the conflict, and together we stood in solidarity with them.

As we celebrate Pan-African Women's Day, let us continue to champion peace, justice, and the empowerment of women across our communities. Together, we can build a future where no woman is left behind.

CAGEAD brings together stakeholders and survivors of Sexual Violence in Conflicts within communities in Boyo for dialogue.

In commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflicts 2026, CAGEAD brought stakeholders and survivors of Sexual Violence in conflicts down to one level to discuss challenges and bring forth local solutions towards prevention, protection, and response mechanisms.

In the presence of the SDO, Mayor of Fundong, Director of the Women's Empowerment Center Fundong, Chief of Center MINAS Fundong, Divisional Delegate MINAS, Religious, Traditional and youth leaders, survivors aired out their experiences of s*xual violence within their communities, their challenges and were addressed by these stakeholders.

These stakeholders said they are aware of some of these challenges, they are happy to hear new challenges and appreciated CAGEAD for their active work together with the municipality and other structures to push fort for the respect of s*xual rights. They promised their availability to listen and react to incidents while putting in local measures to prevent them. These stakeholders gave directions to their various offices for report of cases and drew out a map for reporting and handling of cases for any survivor.

The event ended with a symbolic handing over of umbrellas with the message "End Violence Against Women and Girls", indicating that each stakeholder if a house that can protect AGYW from s*xual violence within our conflict and are also there to respond to cases.

One major activity during our commemorative celebration of in Boyo, we took our ladies for a beautiful picnic session.

Seated on fresh green grass, in an open environment, with chewables and drinks, our enjoyed beautiful lessons on making menstrual beads, shared experiences on menstrual challenges, and networked.

These activity was highly appreciated as the girls said they had never had such and experience before.

We take pride in innovative approaches to learning, enlarging the scope of our impact in local communities.
