Purpose discovery is a continuous process ans we have to live in obedience to God's word inorder to truly fulfill purpose.

The first quarter of the year is over and we are on to the next.

It has indeed been enriching getting to focus on purpose discovery for the first 3 months of the year with the help of Sir George Charisma .

Some key lessons from this series are:
* The purpose of life is to live a life of purpose.

* Everything that God made, he assigned a purpose and each and everyone of us has a purpose to achieve.

* Purpose has a divine source and not a human one and can be gotten only from the creator himself which is Christ.

* The chapter of purpose closed when each of us draw our last breath.

* Purpose cannot be delegated. Your purpose is a customized package that resonates with your wiring.

* Your purpose ties with the algorithm of your identity. You were designed so that the fulfillment of purpose would be spontaneous.

* The purpose fits into a bigger kingdom purpose. You are not here to build a private empire or expand your fan club.

* The fulfillment of purpose is a function of team work. We all need each other to be able to fulfill purpose.

* My purpose determines my priorities, choice of friends, partner, academic pursuits and everything about life.

In order to find purpose;
We have to understand that the discovery of purpose remains a process and we all were made to do more than just survive.

You have to be :
* At the right place.
*At the right time to find the right stimulus.

Purpose can be found through;
* Direct divine revelation.
* Prophetic utterance.
* Foretelling.
* Forthtelling.
* Insight and foresight.
* The understanding of purpose can also come from the public.
* God can use your output to tell people what you are made off.
And the greatest of them all is to check with God, the creator himself.

Everything God makes has a place and a space.

In the journey of purpose, we will face diffechallenges both internal and external but in all these seasons, we should be able to go back to God to ask for his help and direction because he himself has solutions to everything.

It was indeed a powerful lesson and we look forward to the next.

Being thankful to God for how far,He has brought EYWD and the number of lives impacted.
It was another great session on the 3rd,November at Bayelle Baptist Church with over 80+ youths eager for change,eager to be the change and eager to implement the change.

With the first speaker,Rev Bonaventure who spoke on "Transformed Youths, Transformed Society."

We as youths,our attention was called to the fact that:
* God's design for society was that it should reflect him .
* If God will bring a transformed nation in our society,he needs transformed people (agents) to do so.
*So inorder to have a transformed society,we have to work on ourselves.

Having a panel session with Mr. Ferdinant got to correct us about many things such as:
* There will always be challenges on our path as youths,but having faith in Christ and doing the work will see us through.
* Rather than complaining,we as youths, should find problems to solve.
* We shouldn't focus more on how we look but we should be focus more on what we carry and what we can offer to the society.

This session was an eye opener to us as youths and an encouragement to do the work.

And lastly, we were blessed with lessons from the experiences of Miss Yosimbom Jania.
She stood firm on the points that:
We should define our successes by:
*Giving our time, resources, or love.
*We should practice service,be able to volunteer.
* We should take consistent actions that will lead significant results.
*Life is full of challenges and we should be able bounce back and keep pushing forward is essential for true growth.
*In order to succeed,we need to work hard.

It was indeed an amazing session,in which we learned,unlearned and relearned.We were also able to create great connections.

Indeed,inorder to create impact, we should start with ourselves.

THE 21ST CENTURY YOUTHFUL STRUGGLES:

You'd agree with me that the youths of this generation have Alot more heat to deal with more than ever before,.
Especially with technological advancements and new innovations everyday.
Standing the test of time as a youth with a difference in this generation is big deal.
Some of these struggles identified include
*struggles of right association
*struggles of blending.
* influenced decisions
*struggles of putting and reinforcement of boundaries
* struggles of keeping up with flow of communication etc etc etc.. You can add.
Its interesting how these struggles are more peculiar to the young people( youths).
Reading through the Bible we discover not to many old people were called by God
A majority were the young people..

So it get me thinking are those two connected? 🤔
Why is there so much pressure on the young people? 🤔
What is it about youthfulness that the evil one is so interested in?? 🤔
How should these struggles be dealt with? 🤔
Why does the Bible Mandates we remember our creator in the day of our youth(Ecl 12:1a)?? 🤔

Daily Emotional checks ✨

I've come to realize they're Alot more lessons in our own daily lives and activities than we can actually admit.
Do you have a track record of your emotions?
Can you sit on a table to talk about emotional intelligence?
Can you?..
I was scrolling through statuses and stumbled on this particular status where a little child was being mistreated by a nanny, i became furious, i got really upset, i even found myself standing, after all the displaying I realized i was alone then I thought to myself, so this is how I would have reacted if i was in the midst of people then I realized there was work to do. It made me wonder how many more struggles I'm yet to discover about myself. How much can you rate your emotional intelligence?
do you even take note of your daily reactions,. I read something somewhere that Said you can't call yourself an honest person if you've never been given the opportunity to steal. Same as we can't say how emotionally strong you are if all you're surrounded by is a serene environment.
Make it a habit to monitor your emotions daily, especially your negative emotions , be it with family , peers or even objects or situations ( some people really get mad at the weather when it's rainy or too hot 🔥.. This is not normal). There's a need to work on yourself, but you must know what needs fixing.. This is an invitation to discovering how emotionally agile you are by monitoring daily emotions intentionally, know the different scenarios that trigger the difference emotions you experience.
Remember, growth doesn't happen by accident
I encourage someone this day to take it upon themselves and do these checks daily, you'll be surprised at your discoveries and this has a way of humbling you down to the place of learning which results to growth..
The intention of this daily exercise is not to beat yourself up but to to use this as an avenue for growth, self-discovery. use your lows as stepping stones to your highs don't be imprisoned by them

We live in a world where many young people are confused about where to draw the line, and that isn't strange at all giving the world we're in is at odds with the subject of purity...
This breath in a concern. The EYWDs on the 12th may 2024 organized a purity conference which outlined most of the boundaries we've been crossing today as far as purity is concerned. Alot was learned buy a few highlights will not hurt.
Purity means void of evil, it also means consistency in nature, quality and content
Various dimensions of purity including
1) purity of heart
2) purity of motive
3) purity in words
4) pure eyes
5) purity in appearance
6) pure ears
7) purity in action
The 3dimensions of purity include
1) purity before God
2) purity in dealings with others especially the opposite s*x
3) purity in my private life. ✨
FOUNDATIONS OF PURITY
Purity is costly, it's not accidental, purity is a sustainer of impact.
a) Salvation and spiritual growth
c) Discernment
d) cultivating the virtues of patience and contentment
e) selective association
f) follow the 4R rule
Right place, right time, right people, doing the right thing. ✨
g) principled living.
We also talked on what principled living is all about, setting boundaries and important principles to set in place.
Fast forwarded to the last parts of the lesson...
PURITY IN ACTION
we saw a good number of them like LUST, SEDUCTION, FLIRTING etc( explanations pending)
Finally,
We rounded up with proverbs 6 and 7
* s*x was never designed to be commercialized proverbs 6:25
* Sexual immortality reduces a person, it takes away dignity, respect etc
* They're consequences to s*xual impurity
* Sexual immortality takes away your peace and gives you guilt which makes it difficult to pray effectively
* it takes wisdom and knowledge to remain s*xually pure, proverbs 6:32
*build a devotional life, proverbs 7:1-3
The battle to remain s*xually pure only end at death. Thank you Sir George Charisma.

How much do you think you're worth?? I'm not talking about currency here.
What value do you attach to who you are?
The life you're living now is it borrowed or it's yours? Have you ever thought of how it feels to actually wear your own shoes?? To have a strong positive belief about SELF.
Think about it.
WHAT ACTUALLY CAUSES LOW SELF-ESTEEM AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY??
1) society
2) poor parental upbringing
3) lack of validation from loved ones
4)lack of self-love
5) low self-image
6) unawareness of self-worth, value
7) abusive relationships
8) Hate speech, 9) pressure
Where do you fall here??
Let's get going
HOW TO BUILD AN UNSHAKABLE SELF-ESTEEM
a) clear away negative thoughts
b)Be aware of your strengths
c) Try things that make you uncomfortable ( leave your comfort zone)
d) stop comparing yourself to others, you're uniquely unique
e) let go of negative people: it is one thing to let go of negative thoughts and another to let go of negative people.
SOME SIGNS OF HEALTHY SELF-ESTEEM
1) you feel comfortable expressing your opinions, even when you have to differ
2) you're confident in your abilities
3) you don't let challenges hold you back
4) you don't let set-backs change how you feel about yourself
5) you're willing to set boundaries with people who do not value and respect you. ETC..
God is interested in your self-esteem
Looking at moses in EXODUS 4, Gideon in JUDGES 6:11-16,JEREMIAH 1:5-7
we see that low self-esteem didn't start today. Examining Moses story in Exodus 4 we get redefinition of what self-esteem is..
True self-esteem is seeing ourselves, our abilities through the lenses of God's eyes.
Our self-esteem is not tied up in our abilities.
God's calling in our lives does not depend on our abilities but our obedience. God equips the one who obeys Him.
I write to encourage youths, each time you feel or people tell you that you are not good enough for what God has assigned you to do, just remember that it is God's decision to make not man's.

Focus is the ability to channel your resources, energy and attention towards a relevant target and maintain that posture until you achieve what you are out for.
Focus is conserving your energy for the right battles.

FACT ABOUT FOCUSED PEOPLE
~ focused people choose their battles rightly
~ focused people are not everywhere
~ it is difficult to buy the passion of a focused person
~ focused people know what they want
~ focused people don't settle for less
~ focused people donot have a hard time saying NO
~ focused people delay gratification
~ focused people do not accept offers that has nothing to do with where they're going

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE FOCUSED
~ Learn todo one thing at a time
~ forgetting or ignoring the things ahead and behind you and focus on the present situation
~ not being a double-minded as a person
~ Not easily swayed by public opinion
~ Be driven by convictions
~ A focused person is stable, able to maintain a good balance
~ only that which is stable can survive different forms of storms
~ stable people are dependable
~ keeping purpose in the spotlight
~ you are either focused or flirting
~ it takes setting priorities
~learning to deal with distractions
~ dealing with emotional injuries
~ Learning to say No/ avoid over commitment.

In a generation where you're attention is attacked from all sides..
We're saying being focused is possible.
