💙 Opportunity for Child Brides: Empowering Girls, Restoring Futures
What happens when a girl who was forced into child marriage is given a second chance?
She learns a skill. She earns an income. She regains her confidence. She begins to shape her own future.
Through the Opportunity for Child Brides Initiative, Association for Sustainable Development Livelihood Initiatives (SUSTAIN Cameroon) is empowering vulnerable girls and young women who have experienced child marriage by providing vocational training, livelihood support, mentorship, and pathways to economic independence.
By equipping participants with practical skills such as tailoring and hairdressing, we are helping them break cycles of poverty, reduce vulnerability to exploitation, and build brighter futures for themselves and their children.
Every trained girl represents a life transformed, a family strengthened, and a community empowered.
We are grateful to our strategic partners, iMPACT direct Foundation and Wilde Ganzen Foundation, whose support is helping make this vision a reality and creating lasting opportunities for some of the most vulnerable girls in our communities.
