The Cultural Night of Nkumu Fed Fed at the 2026 AGM was more than a celebration, it was a powerful expression of identity, unity, and heritage. Each branch took its turn to showcase the richness of its cultural roots, reminding everyone present that culture is the thread that binds communities across borders.

From traditional attire to music and dance, every performance tells a story of origin, pride, and belonging. Notably, Fed Fed Germany brought a unique dimension to the night with a display of German culture, highlighting the beauty of cultural exchange within the Nkumu family.

In a world that is constantly evolving, such moments reaffirm that culture is not just about where we come from, it is who we are. Through these shared experiences, Nkumu Fed Fed continues to strengthen its identity while embracing diversity, proving that unity thrives when culture is celebrated.

Nkumu Fed Fed participated in a two-day capacity building workshop organized by GIZ/PROSCIG on the legal and institutional framework governing Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Cameroon.

The first day focused on helping participants understand the legal environment in which CSOs operate. Facilitators and representatives from the Ministry of Territorial Administration (MINAT) presented key laws guiding CSOs, clarified concepts such as associations and NGOs, and explained the institutional bodies responsible for supervising their activities.

The second day centered on governance and organizational strengthening, highlighting how CSOs can improve their internal structures, ensure transparency and accountability, and comply with legal requirements. Participants also learned about the procedures for transforming an association into a legally recognized NGO.

The workshop was highly interactive and provided valuable knowledge to help CSOs strengthen their operations. Notably, Nkumu Fed Fed was recognized as one of the few organizations already operating with NGO status, reflecting its strong institutional and legal standing.

Speech by the President General of Nkumu Fed Fed on the Occasion of International Women’s Day, March 8, 2026

Distinguished partners, respected members of Nkumu Fed Fed, our courageous and resilient women, especially the vulnerable women in our communities, ladies and gentlemen, accept warm greetings from me

It is with great honor and a deep sense of responsibility that I stand before you today as we join the rest of the world to celebrate International Women’s Day, on the theme, Rights, Justice and Action for All Women and Girls a day dedicated to recognizing the strength, resilience, achievements, and contributions of women across the globe.

Today is not only a day of celebration, but also a moment of reflection. We reflect on how far we have come in the fight for gender equality, and more importantly, we renew our commitment to the journey that still lies ahead.

At Nkumu Fed Fed, our mission has always been clear: to support, empower, and uplift vulnerable women and girls in our communities. Many of the women we serve have faced difficult realities, poverty, displacement, gender-based violence, and social exclusion. Yet, despite these challenges, they continue to show incredible strength and determination to rebuild their lives and support their families.

To the vulnerable women gathered here today, I want you to know that you are not alone. Your struggles are seen, your voices matter, and your resilience inspires us every day. Nkumu Fed Fed exists because we believe that when women are empowered, families are strengthened, communities are transformed, and nations prosper.

To our dedicated members of Nkumu Fed Fed, I extend my heartfelt appreciation for your tireless commitment to this cause. Your work in the communities, supporting women, creating awareness, and advocating for justice and equality, continues to make a meaningful difference.

To our partners and supporters, we are grateful for your collaboration and trust. Your support allows us to expand our programs, provide training and opportunities for women, and continue advocating for the protection of women’s rights.

As we celebrate today, let us remember that empowering women is not just a women's issue; it is a community responsibility. We must continue to work together to create a society where women and girls can live free from violence, access education and economic opportunities, and participate fully in decision-making. Let today serve as a reminder that every woman deserves dignity, respect, and equal opportunities.

At Nkumu Fed Fed, we reaffirm our commitment to standing with vulnerable women, amplifying their voices, and working tirelessly to ensure that no woman is left behind.

As we move forward, let us continue to support one another, encourage one another, and build stronger communities where women can thrive.

To every woman here today: your strength is powerful, your voice is important, and your future is bright.

Happy International Women’s Day to you all.
