WALKING FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

On Tuesday, 13th October 2026, Up Station, Bamenda, came alive as women, men, civil society organizations, and public authorities gathered for a Solidarity Walk to launch Pink October.

Organized by Alliance Française Bamenda in partnership with Organization for Women's Empowerment and Development -OWED. and the Regional Delegation of Public Health, the walk reminded us that awareness matters.

Breast cancer continues to affect women, and increasing awareness can encourage people to pay attention to their breast health, seek information, and act early when concerns arise.
We were honoured to walk alongside the Regional Delegates of MINPROFF, Sports and Physical Education, and Arts and Culture, as well as CSOs and community members.

Every step showed solidarity. Every voice strengthened the message and every conversation helped keep breast cancer awareness on the agenda.

Pink October is a call to awareness, action, support, and care.Together, we continue the conversation.
