Yesterday 19 March 2023, we continued our efforts at building young graduates to make them more competitive. Thus we had a training session on designing CVs, Motivation Letters/Letters of Interest as well as Job Search. It was so interesting discussing and getting the view points of our mentees. It is important to highlight that this is part of activities for the Development Support Services Mentoring and Coaching Academy Program, jointly implemented with partners like SOPISDEW and NWADO. As the mentees will soon be ending their program, we look forward for a more exciting schedule with the next intake come September when the official call for applications will be made public. We are also hoping to get more organisations join hands with us to help young graduates gain skills and competencies that the classroom cannot provide to them.

Last week March 28 – 30, 2023, the Chair at Development Support Services had the opportunity to meet with close to 20 student entrepreneurs at the University of Bamenda. The Chair at Development Support Services facilitated a training workshop for student-entrepreneurs at The University of Bamenda Technology Innovation and Incubation Centre (UBa-TIIC) focused on designing business plans covering the research, prospect identification processes and business management processes/activities necessary for developing successful business plans. It was a great opportunity to listen to the experiences of the young student-entrepreneurs and to cooperatively chart a way forward through helping them gain skills in designing business plans. This workshop was conducted within the context of a project titled ‘’Developing skills for employability and entrepreneurship in the North West Region of Cameroon’’ implemented by the College of Technology at the University of Bamenda, with funding from RUFORUM. It is important to highlight that at Development Support Services, we provide value added services and also we are running a mentorship and coaching programme for young graduates in collaboration with our partners like SOPISDEW and NWADO

Happy International Women's Day

At Development Support Services, we celebrate women for what they are and will continue to be to mankind. We acknowledge that digitalisation is fast taking over the way of doing things and women need gain digital skills. Through digital platforms including social media platforms, digitally empowered women can sell their products, services and skills.

We urge all women to remember that by virtue of being a woman, they are already empowered. Thus they need now use their empowered selves to touch and make others get empowered.

Kudos for past efforts and woman, remember to do more first to impact on another woman. Let all women start standing for women today.

The respect of human rights notably the rights of women and children (especially from minority groups like the Mbororos) and the vulnerable displaced persons all over the world should be the common concern of all. At Development Support Services, we are ready to work with all interested in offering services and support for the respect of Women and children’s Rights.
The simplest approach to respecting human rights is by asking the question of: How will I feel if I am in her situation? Together we can make a world a better place. Build global kindheartedness in everything you do.
