From Rhetoric to Reality,
From Theory to Practicals.
They looked like Journalists struggling to capture News!
But these are vibrant Youths passionate about , , and Farmer-to-farmer knowledge sharing.
Earlier this weekend on Saturday 11/04/2026 at Up Station Bamenda Cameroon, our team facilitated a demo session empowering 26 people (including 23 students between 18-30, and three adults) with smart skills in understanding soil texture, Moisture and Fertility.
The session was a great success with thanks to smart soil testing tools coming with thanks to Aspire Leaders Program. With gratitude, we say this is not only success but also progress in our commitment to drive meaningful change in grassroots communities.

Happy Harvest Season.
In today's Let's appreciate our integrating climbing yams into existing farms offering a practical climate adaptation strategy. These yarms can be intercropped with maize or planted along living fences to diversify production and spread risk. With minimal inputs and strong market demand, climbing yams generate extra income for our farmers while improving soil structure and moisture retention. As rainfall becomes more erratic, these hardy crops help our farmers maintain food security without expanding land area or increasing costs.

Sharing the power of Climate-Smart tools on small-scale farms.
Happy
Unlike using inorganic chemicals to boost crop growth, eight weeks ago, our team embarked on hands-on skills training, disseminating of knowledge and skills on production of organic manure including compost tea, 21 days compost, bio-pesticides etc. to 25 family farmers in Northwest Cameroon. We are pleased to share an overview of the outcomes from our beneficiaries' farms.
We have learned how these tools not only regenerate soil, boosting crop growth, but improve farmer's resilience to the changing climate.

Promoting through native seed varieties.
In today's , we are looking at what native seed varieties do to support agroecology, lets learn together, share your points in the comment section.
Two key things we have learned from our seed nurseries;
1. Biodiversity & Resilience; We have grown a range of native seeds that have proven to strengthen ecosystem functions such as pollution, and soil fertility.
2. Adaptation to local conditions; of course without chemicals inputs, our seedlings still grow extremely strong and healthy.
This is why we have focused on growing a range of crops including the "Okonwobong, in the photo below, Egusi, etc," which are creeping vegetable crops common to indigenous small-scale farmers in Cameroon.
3. We want to hear from you, be it crop varieties, or it's significance to agroecology, share in the comment section.
