Hello Fam🤗,

With the rapid growth of technology in today’s world, we cannot afford to shy away from using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace. However, as we embrace its possibilities, we must also understand how to use it responsibly.

RADA recently held a session on “Responsible Use of AI in the Workplace,” facilitated by the CEO, Mr. Ferdinant M. Sonyuy, with staff, volunteers and interns all in attendance.The session explored professional prompt engineering and the mannerism we instruct AI can shape the quality of the results we seek to receive.

Participants also reflected on the benefits of using AI effectively, including faster drafting and structured outlines, idea generation and brainstorming, summarizing lengthy documents, language and clarity checks, scenario exploration and maintaining consistency in routine documentation.

At the same time, the session highlighted the risks of irresponsible AI use, including blind trust in AI outputs, fabricated facts and references, sensitive data leakage, low-quality work being masked by fluent language, reputational damage and the loss of critical thinking skills.

The key takeaway was clear: AI is already part of the workplace; the question is not whether we use it, but how responsibly we use it.

As we continue to embrace technology, the usage of AI will keep serving as a tool to support, not replace, human judgment, creativity, critical thinking, and professional responsibility.

Sitting with the World Health Organization (WHO)TV, the idea I was sharing is that WHO cannot work without sustainably being in touch with the needs, challenges, concerns, priorities and realities of those living with NCDs.

Across 25 countries where national alliances are gathering this information and making it available in the form of policy proposals, member states are able to develop and align on policies, strategies and frameworks for the health of our populations.

This is what we do and this is what we discussed at the station at the session. All glory to God.

We are pleased to see that RADA's CEO Mbiydzenyuy Ferdinant Sonyuy who also doubles as the Secretary General of the Cameroon Civil Society NCD Alliance and serves as the Executive Director of the Africa NCDs Network is representing Cameroon and Africa at the ongoing 76th Regional Committee Meeting happening in Ethiopia.

Peer support for children living with Type 1 Diabetes can challenge stigma, build confidence and remind them that they are not alone.

This was one of the powerful reflections shared during the T1D Community Fund August 2026 Peer Learning Session, organized by Panorama Global, RADA’s funder.

Speaking during the session, RADA’s Program Manager Moffo Anaisse for the Type 1 Diabetes Community Fund Project highlighted an important lesson from our work: “we must never assume what beneficiaries need; we must listen to them first”.

Through focus group discussions with children living with T1D, RADA was able to understand their real needs and shape interventions such as therapeutic picnics and psychosocial support around what they told us.

Because meaningful support begins with listening. 💙

Yesterday, RADA joined humanitarian actors across the Northwest Region to commemorate World Humanitarian Day 2026 under the theme “Act for Humanity.”

Humanitarian actors who took part in this session included; International Organizations and Civil Society Organizations. World Humanitarian day is a day dedicated to recognizing the invaluable contribution of humanitarian workers serving communities in crisis.

The celebration featured a variety of sporting, recreational, cultural, and networking activities, including keep-fit exercises, races, a friendly football match, organizational exhibitions, traditional dances, poetry, music, and testimonies highlighting humanitarian experiences.

Beyond the recreational activities, the event served as a meaningful reminder of the dedication and commitment of humanitarian workers serving communities affected by crisis and vulnerability.

Yesterday's event also highlighted the importance of protecting civilians and humanitarian personnel while upholding the principles of humanity, dignity, and solidarity.

We need to continue acting for humanity, support the communities we serve, and strengthen collective action towards a more peaceful, inclusive, and compassionate society.

Today, the Reconciliation and Development Association -RADA joins the world in honoring the humanitarian workers who serve on the frontlines of crisis, often at great personal risk to bring healing, hope, and dignity to communities in need.

This year's theme, "Strengthening Global Solidarity and Empowering Local Communities," speaks directly to who we are and what we do. RADA has worked and is still working to build bridges across domains of health, education, agriculture, technology, and sustainable peace here in our communities, because we believe lasting change is built from the ground up, by the people who know their communities best.

We also stand with humanitarian workers everywhere in calling for their protection, no one should face danger for the simple act of helping others.

Together, we build stronger, more resilient communities, one bridge at a time.

In today’s digital age which is characterized by the widespread use of social media, it is very common for users to come across “comic” content made by content creators mimicking or producing “funny” memes about the behavioral patterns of some categories of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) .

These contents get shared thousands of times,
thereby gaining a broader audience for the purpose of entertainment because it is funny. On the surface, such content looks good and entertaining, but a closer look suggests something utterly different. Such content has the effect of undermining, mocking, ridiculing and demeaning those whom it is about. Unfortunately, majority of social media users have normalized their marginalization and mockery. When mockery is repeated often enough, it becomes normal.

Through this, disability stereotyping becomes acceptable and exclusion becomes almost invisible. What people fail to realize is that, behind these jokes, there are real people who feel humiliated and devalued and the effects are cumulative, some of which include the non-respect of their fundamental human rights.

Hateful content against PWDs has been normalized to the extent that it goes unnoticed.
It is important that, before producing or sharing such content, put yourself in that person's shoes and ask yourself if it is funny enough and worth sharing.
