DIGNITY FOR GIRLS WITH DISABILITY | MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY 2026

Dear Promoter of Dignity,

First, thank you. 💚

Last year, your support through prayers, sharing, and giving helped us go far beyond what we planned. We set out to reach 20 girls in the Idinal Community with dignity kits on Menstrual Hygiene Day. Because of people like you, we ended the day having reached *50 girls* with dignity kits and rich conversations on menstrual health, SRHR, teenage pregnancy, and responsible decision-making. That success belongs to you as much as it belongs to us.

This year, we want to reach exactly 15 girls with disability

We want to sit with them. Listen to them. Have real conversations around the unique challenges they face as girls with disability when it comes to menstruation challenges that are rarely spoken about, rarely addressed, and too often ignored.

And we need you.

We need your support ,financially, prayerfully, and in whatever way you can give.No contribution is too small. Every franc, every prayer, every share moves us closer to those 15 girls.

A dignity kit for a girl with disability (UNFPA standard) costs
10,000 CFA — one girl, fully dignified.

To donate, send via MTN MoMo:
654 072 934 — Njumanuh Constance Ayongho

Please message us after sending so we can acknowledge you and keep you updated on our progress.

Thank you for being the kind of person who shows up for girls who are too often overlooked. We are grateful for you ,more than words can say.

With love and gratitude,
Consty & the GACD Team

🚸 CHILDHOOD IS NOT FOR WORK IT’S FOR LEARNING, GROWING & DREAMING.

Today, GACD joins the global movement to mark World Day Against Child Labour under the 2025 theme:
“Progress is clear, but there’s more to do: Let’s speed up efforts.”

In conflict-affected regions like the North West and South West of Cameroon, poverty, school closures, and long holidays are pushing more children into invisible forms of labour hawking, house help, farming, bar work, and more.

These are not “chores.” These are violations.
They rob children of education, dignity, and safety.

At GACD, we believe every child deserves protection, play, and purpose not pain.

📢 Join us to raise awareness, report abuse, and protect children from exploitation in our communities.

At GACD, We’re Talking About It: Men’s Mental Health Matters

Every June, the world turns its attention to Men’s Mental Health Month and at GACD ,Global Action for Community Development Global Action for Community Development (GACD), we are lending our voice to this vital conversation.

Across the world, men are facing silent battles. The pressure to be “strong,” “unshaken,” and “in control” often forces men to suppress their emotions, hide their struggles, and suffer in silence

The idea that “real men don’t cry” or that emotions are a sign of weakness is a harmful myth that has shaped generations. But in truth, it takes courage to open up. It takes strength to say “I need help.” And it takes love to ask a friend, “How are you really doing?”

we believe mental health is a human right, and no one should suffer in silence not women, not children, and certainly not men.

At GACD, we work in communities where men face daily stress from poverty, conflict, broken family structures, joblessness, and unspoken trauma yet are taught to “man up” and carry on. These expectations are not just unfair they are dangerous.

June 4 – International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression

Today, we remember not just the global statistics, but the children close to home.

04/06/2025

In the heart of the Anglophone regions of Cameroon, innocent children continue to face trauma and displacement due to an ongoing conflict they did not cause and cannot control. Many have lost access to education, safety, and even family. Their innocence has been violated by aggression in its most painful forms armed conflict, exploitation, and neglect.

At Global Action for Community Development (GACD), we work every day to bring hope where hope has been dimmed. Through our SRHR outreach, child protection initiatives, youth empowerment programs, and psychosocial support, we aim to restore dignity, safety, and opportunity to these children and their communities.

We stand with every child whose laughter has been silenced by war.

Let this day remind us to keep protecting, listening to, and empowering the most vulnerable.

Men and Boys Championing Menstrual Hygiene Management

During our recent outreach in Idenau, one powerful highlight was the active participation of men and boys in promoting menstrual hygiene. Notably, most of the demonstrations both for disposable and reusable sanitary products were led by the men and boys present.

This visible involvement reinforces the critical role men play in supporting menstrual health and breaking the silence around menstruation.

Thank you to our HeForShes, and to every man and boy who stands up daily for women’s health and dignity. Your support matters. Your voice counts. Together, we are normalizing the conversation and building a more inclusive, informed society.

This was not charity. This was restoration.

To every girl we met — you are not alone.
To every partner and volunteer — thank you for standing with us.
And to the world — we’re just getting started.

50 girls. 50 dignity kits. 50 reasons to keep going.

We came with one goal:
🎯 To ensure every girl can bleed with pride.

With over 50 dignity kits distributed and 15+ volunteers mobilized, our “One Girl, One Dignity Kit” campaign reminded girls in Idenau that periods are not a curse, a crime, or a shame—they’re a sign of strength.

We educated, we listened, we cried, and we empowered.
🩸 We broke the silence.
🩸 We restored dignity.
🩸 We made room for pride.

Because no girl should skip school, suffer in silence, or feel ashamed because of her period.
And as long as stigma exists, we will keep showing up.

Idenau was just the beginning.
Together, let’s build a world where every girl can say:

“I bleed with pride.”
