Join us for a 5-day training event organized by HOFA, FIEPWD, and APROGLOHWACES in Buea from July 16 to July 20, 2024. This event offers the chance to acquire skills in crochet, beading, and recycling/decor at no cost.

Please note that selected candidates will be responsible for their own accommodation.

✨ A Day of Love and Hope at Maranatha Orphanage ✨

On Sunday, September 26th, 2021, the HEWADS family visited Maranatha Orphanage in Douala, Cameroon. Our hearts were filled with joy as we prayed, played, and shared moments of laughter with these incredible children. We presented gifts, offered encouragement, and were deeply inspired by their resilience and spirit.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

We are immensely grateful to the dedicated staff of Maranatha Orphanage for their unwavering love and support towards these children. Your efforts are truly making a difference in their lives, and we are honored to support your mission.

As motivational speaker Zig Ziglar once said, "You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great." These children have shown us the essence of greatness through their smiles and determination.

Our motto, "Building Change Agents by Advocating for Self-reliance and Sustainability," embodies our dedication to fostering a world where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

Our Mission:
In response to the numerous challenges faced by our beloved Society, we have set forth a mission to:

1) Raise Awareness: Sensitize privileged, vulnerable, and underprivileged communities about the pressing needs of orphans, widows, young girls, women, and the elderly. Through empowerment and various forms of handicrafts, we aim to uplift these groups.

2) Provide Shelter: Offer refuge to displaced and homeless individuals affected by the ongoing socio-political and economic crises.

3) Educate the Youth: Teach young people about the dangers of drug abuse, the importance of biodiversity conservation, and the protection of their resources.

4) Promote Health: Implement effective strategies in disease prevention, health promotion, and maintenance.

Health, as defined by the World Health Organization, is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease. At HEWADS (APROGLOHWACES), we embrace this holistic view, striving to bring the benefits of medical, psychological, emotional, and social well-being to all.
