ONG PEHE is a non-governmental, non political and non-partisan organization established since 2005 to support economic, social and cultural development in the district of Péhé in the Department of Touléple
u, Region of Middle Cavalla in the western end of Côte d’Ivoire. ONG PEHE is legally registered in Côte d’Ivoire under the certificate of incorporation number 230/INT/DGAT.DAG.SDVA. The organization has a membership of 500 men and women of different ages, social stands, ethnicities and nationalities. It is headquartered in the city of Péhé and has a representation in Abidjan the capital city. Its members are spread across Côte d’Ivoire and abroad. The organisation works closely with international institutions like the United Nations Mission in Côte d’Ivoire (UNOCI). The electoral violence which erupted during the November 2010 presidential elections in Côte d’Ivoire, rendered 96% of the population of Péhé homeless and forcefully displaced. In response, ONG PEHE shifted priority towards post-conflict reconstruction and the promotion of social cohesion among people from different ethnic and religious backgrounds. Given the widespread destruction and at the request of the departmental authorities ONG PEHE expanded the scope of its action to the entire Department of Toulépleu. After a field need assessment mission in the region, the organisation launched a multifaceted reconstruction and social cohesion program known as ANELA (We Are Here) in Guéré (Krahn), the local language spoken in the Middle Cavally region of Côte d’Ivoire and neighbouring Liberia.

ONG PEHE - Organisation Non Gouvernementale – basée en Côte d’Ivoire, en Afrique de L’Ouest. Elle est apolitique et œuvre dépuis 2005 pour le développement économique, social et culturelle des populations de la Sous-Préfecture de Péhé, Département de Toulépleu, Région du Moyen Cavally en Côte d’Ivoire. Elle est légalement enregistrée au journal officiel de la République de Côte d’Ivoire. ONG PEHE axe actuellement l’essentiel de son travail sur la reconstruction de la circonscription de PEHE gravement ravagée par la guerre civile en Côte d’Ivoire. ONG PEHE travaille en étroite collaboration avec des institutions internationales comme L’ONU, LA CROIX ROUGE INTERNATIONALE et de nombreuses fondations internationales. ONG PEHE compte au moins 500 membres actifs de divers horizons ethniques et de diverses nationalités à travers le monde. Elle est représentée dans beaucoup de pays à travers le monde. Son siège principal est à Péhé – localité dont elle porte le nom – mais elle dispose également d’une représentation à Abidjan, capitale de La Côte d’Ivoire.
