We are looking for a passionate and driven 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 to join our on-the-ground team working to transform agricultural supply chains into engines of prosperity for communities and ecosystems.

In this role, you will engage directly with farmers and key stakeholders, conduct farm surveys and socio-economic data collection, map farms using GPS, support data analysis and reporting, and contribute to partnership development and theory of change design.

We’re seeking a motivated professional (minimum 2 years’ experience) with a background in agriculture, environmental/social sciences, or GIS; strong knowledge of cocoa supply chains; and a readiness to live and work in remote areas. Fluency in English and Twi and a motorcycle license are required.

The Cavally Landscape Project is transforming lives and landscapes in western Côte d’Ivoire—where forest conservation, resilient communities, and sustainable cocoa production come together for lasting impact.

During a recent field visit, representatives from funding agencies had the opportunity to see this change in motion—witnessing how collaborative action is improving both ecosystems and livelihoods.

As part of the 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐜𝐨/𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐎 delegation, Karel Manrau recently joined a field visit to the Cavally Natural Reserve—one of the key sites of the Cavally Landscape Project, led by Earthworm Foundation.

The project works to balance forest protection, community resilience, and sustainable cocoa production in western Côte d’Ivoire. The visit offered members of the funding agencies a firsthand look at the project’s progress and impact on the ground.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭:

👉 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Reviewing on-the-ground efforts to curb deforestation inside the reserve.

👉 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧-𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Meeting with Village Savings & Loan Associations (VSLAs) and community nurseries that provide women with income opportunities and agroforestry seedlings.

👉 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Discovering how farmers are diversifying livelihoods beyond cocoa to strengthen financial security.
