La nuova offerta di StradeLab (Sezione traduttori editoriali) è rivolta a traduttrici e traduttori che traducono dall’italiano o verso l’italiano, e mette in contatto persone che lavorano nella stessa combinazione linguistica ma in direzioni opposte. 🖇️ Le coppie discutono insieme i loro progetti in corso d’opera. On 26th September, we celebrated the annual Looren Day. 🎉 It was a great pleasure for us to welcome Usama Al Shahmani, who spoke with Alice Grünfelder about his Arabic poems and the translation of his own poetry into German. 📖 We also particularly enjoyed the musical accompaniment provided by Saif Al-Khayyat on the oud. 🎶

We would like to thank everyone involved, including our caterers from Wernetshausen for the wonderful Afghan buffet! 💫

Überraschende Übersetzungen: Auf Initiative des Internationalen Literatur- und Übersetzungsfestivals Iași – FILIT (Rumänien), laden mehrere Kulturinstitutionen aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz zu Gesprächen mit erfahrenen Übersetzer:innen ein, die literarischen Texten mit Bezug zu Rumänien und Moldova eine deutsche Stimme geben. 💬 Das dritte Gespräch dieser Reihe findet am Dienstag, dem 13. Oktober, mit Yves Raeber und Cécile Vilas statt, unter dem Titel «Vor einer Diktatur fliehen: Zwischen verbriefter Vergangenheit und Flucht in eine neue Sprache». Im Fokus steht die Übersetzung aus dem Französischen von «Lettre à mon dictateur» (Slatkine, 2022). Den Roman des Schweizer Autors mit rumänischen Wurzeln Eugène Meiltz hat Yves Raeber ins Deutsche übertragen («Brief an meinen Diktator», Verlag die brotsuppe, 2024). 📖

📖 𝖠𝖲𝖠 𝖧𝖤𝖭𝖣𝖱𝖸 𝖤𝖭 𝖲𝖴𝖣𝖠𝖬É𝖱𝖨𝖢𝖠

Asa Hendry pertenece a una pujante generación de artistas de la Suiza retorrománica que se mueve entre la literatura, el teatro y la performance. En 𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘷 (Chasa Editura Rumantscha), combina el monólogo con elementos corales para abrir perspectivas sobre un tema tabuizado: el silencio y los traumas transgeneracionales en contextos rurales.
hendry escribe en alemán y romanche. Presentará su obra ganadora del Premio Suizo de Literatura 2026 junto a artistas latinoamericanos: Xdzunúm Danae Trejo, Emilia Espinola, Edu Barreto, Hernán Duplat y Darío Marroche (microutopías).

Ce week-end, le festival « Le Livre sur les quais » s'est déroulé à Morges. 🌞 De nombreuses manifestations passionnantes y ont été organisées – entre autres dans le cadre de « La traduction sur les quais » (en collaboration avec le Centre de traduction littéraire de Lausanne). 📚 L'un des moments forts pour nous a été la table ronde consacrée à la retraduction de classiques, avec Martin de Haan (actuellement en résidence au Collège de traducteurs Looren), Sophie Benech et Martin Rueff, animée par catherine Pont Humbert. 📖 Merci à toutes celles et tous ceux qui ont participé au festival ! 💫
