BEYOND THE PILOT: Rehabilitation Technology Translation, Implementation & Real-World Impact
Innovation is only the beginning. Real-world impact is what matters.
Many rehabilitation technologies show promise in research and pilot settings — but what does it really take for them to be adopted, integrated and sustained in real-world practice?
MotusAcademy invites abstracts for RehabWeek 2027 focusing on how rehabilitation technologies move beyond development into clinical implementation, adoption, scale and meaningful real-world impact.
We welcome submissions that explore questions such as:
- What enables or prevents adoption?
- How does technology affect clinical workflow and workforce requirements?
- What evidence matters to clinicians, institutions, payers and patients?
- What does implementation actually cost?
- How do technologies move across hospital, community and home settings?
- Why do some promising innovations scale, while others do not?
We welcome both:
1. Translation & Implementation Research Abstracts
2. Real-World Implementation & Scale Case Abstracts
Relevant topics include: clinical implementation, adoption and scale, real-world evidence, health economics, robotics and AI, workforce readiness, safety, governance, accessibility, equity, and sustainable service models.
Importantly, successful, unsuccessful and mixed implementation experiences are all welcome where they offer evidence and transferable learning.
