🐦Binoculars making a difference in Cuba🇨🇺

We’re excited to share a new update from one of our supported projects! A donation of seven binoculars has successfully reached the Garrido’s Birdwatching Club in Baracoa, Cuba – after quite a journey from Europe via Havana.

The equipment is already in use: during a recent excursion with local children, the binoculars helped spark enthusiasm for birdwatching and offered a meaningful alternative to bird trapping. Seeing birds up close – their plumage, behaviour, and habitats – made a lasting impression on the young participants.

This inspiring initiative supports environmental education and conservation in one of Cuba’s most biodiverse regions, near Alejandro de Humboldt National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

We are proud to support the Avian conservation Uganda society (ACUS) with the donation of 10 binoculars and a spotting scope. These tools will help strengthen birdwatching excursions, community awareness, youth education and bird monitoring across Uganda.

ACUS does inspiring work to protect Uganda’s rich birdlife and to engage young people and local communities in conservation efforts. We are grateful to be part of this journey.

🌍 Binoculars in Action! 🦜
We have recently donated 10 binoculars to the Kenyan Youth Biodiversity Network (KYBN). Since then, they have been used during bird walks in Karura Forest and other expeditions. These binoculars are helping young conservationists study birds in restored mangrove ecosystems — and inspiring the next generation of birdwatchers and nature guides. 🌿✨

🌍 New donation for conservation in Rwanda!

Conservation Heritage-Turambe (CHT), a Rwandan NGO, has received eight binoculars and two spotting scopes to strengthen their environmental education and community-based conservation work around Volcanoes National Park – home to the endangered mountain gorillas. 🦍🔭

👉 Thanks to this donation, over 500 schoolchildren and numerous community members will benefit from wildlife trips, citizen science activities, and hands-on nature education. These experiences will inspire young people to appreciate biodiversity and take an active role in protecting Rwanda’s ecosystems.

We are proud to support CHT and extend our heartfelt thanks to the generous donors who made this possible. 💚

We are thrilled to support the Entebbe Birding Club with the donation of 6 binoculars and 2 spotting scopes! 🎉 These tools are already making a difference by helping young Ugandans explore the beauty of birds and understand the importance of protecting their habitats. 🐦🌱

To celebrate, the EBC hosted a special event at the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) – broadcast live on NTV Uganda 📺 – where members tested the new equipment, received hands-on training, and joined a birding excursion. The excitement and gratitude were truly inspiring! 💚

A heartfelt thank you to our generous donors and everyone who made this possible. Together, we are building a new generation of conservation leaders. 🙌

We’ve sent six pairs of binoculars to the Wildlife Science and Conservation Center of Mongolia (WSCC), helping around 1,000 children and students who visit the Khovd Bird Ringing Station - Ховдын шувуу бөгжлөх суурин each year. 🐦🔭

Thanks to our amazing donors, young people can experience the fascinating world of birds up close and learn to protect nature. 💚
