Edition VFO - Verein für Originalgraphik Established 1948 in Zurich Edition VFO is a nonprofit association for original printed editions.

Edition VFO is a non-profit art institution and publisher, since 1948 in Zurich. The approach of Edition VFO is to maintain classic printing techniques and make art available to a broader audience. In the last years Edition VFO has published various new works among others with Sylvie Fleury, Olivier Mosset, Not Vital, Shirana Shahbazi, Roman Signer, Elodie Pong, Richard Deacon, Loredana Sperini, R

ichard Long and Julian Charrière. Edition VFO publishes yearly around 40 new works, that are presented in curated exhibitions around four times a year.

Edition VFO is pleased to participate at Basel Social Club 2026
- the fifth edition, titled “Office,” is taking place in a vacant office building by Diener & Diener Architects, located in the immediate vicinity of the Basel SBB train station.

We are exhibiting works by John M. Armleder, Bethan Huws, Jonathan Monk and Nora Turato.

at 6 pm join us for the opening of two new exhibitions! One of them is „Language of Light“ by Christian Herdeg, who has created an exclusive new light work for us.

Christian Herdeg’s new edition “Neon meets Argon” was created for the exhibition “Language of Light” opening during Zurich Art Weekend 2026 and brings together central questions of his decades-long practice in a concentrated form: light as material, colour as a spatial event, and the line as a carrier of perception. Two benttubes – one glowing red,the other blue – intersect in a precise, almost floating movement.

We are looking forward to welcoming you during the Zurich Art Weekend with the opening of our group exhibition «WORDS» at Edition VFO, alongside Christian Herdeg’s «Language of Light».

Vernissage: Friday June 12, 6 pm – 9 pm
Exhibition on view from 13 June – 12 September 2026

«WORDS» brings together works by Rosa Barba, Robert Barry, Tony Cokes, Bethan Huws, Daniela Keiser, Renée Levi, Jonathan Monk, and Nora Turato, focusing on language, writing, and signs as artistic media.

In parallel, we are presenting Christian Herdeg’s «Language of Light», a new edition made of neon and argon tubes.

From 8 pm, there will be a joint closing gathering on the Weisse Terrasse of the Löwenbräukunst-Areal with a DJ set by Jan Vorisek, in collaboration with the Office for the Art Collection of the Canton of Zurich.

One exhibition, one book. Two artists, two covers!
Save the date: On Wednesday, 28 May, from 6 to 8 pm we will celebrate the release of our new artist book for “Shifting Surface” with Cédric Eisenring and Sonia Kacem at Edition VFO, published together with About Books, Zurich!

Join us for a book signing session with the artists and a small Apéro.

The book brings together works from both artistic positions and conveys the exhibition in book form, not as documentation, but as an independent form of presentation: it opens a dialogue between the two artists’ practices which continues beyond the exhibition context and the experience of the spatial.
