What digital tools do doctors actually use?

Health Tech Without Borders (HTWB), with support from Digital Health New York and the CUNY School of Public Health Foundation, surveyed nearly 1,000 clinicians worldwide on their use of clinical decision tools. Conducted by M3 Global Research, the study found:

UpToDate is the most broadly used clinician reference of all time, followed by MDCalc and Medscape.

Fast-growing generative AI tools are seeing continued increases in use for medical decision-making.

By focusing on what clinicians actually use, HTWB ensures digital health support remains practical, relevant, and aligned with patient needs.
