إن التطورات الدبلوماسية الأخيرة والاتفاقات الرامية إلى التهدئة تمنح الأمل لملايين الأشخاص الذين عانوا لسنوات طويلة من النزاعات وعدم الاستقرار والنزوح والمعاناة.

وتؤمن جمعيتنا إيماناً راسخاً بأن شعوب الشرق الأوسط تستحق السلام والأمن والكرامة، وأن تحظى بفرصة بناء مستقبل مزدهر خالٍ من الحروب والخوف.

ونحن ندعم جميع الجهود السلمية التي تسهم في حماية المدنيين، وتعزيز مؤسسات الدولة، واحترام القانون الدولي، وتنفيذ القرارات الدولية.

Die Lebanesisch-Schweizerische Vereinigung begrüsst jeden ernsthaften Schritt, der zur Verringerung von Spannungen, zur Verhinderung weiterer Gewalt und zur Förderung von Stabilität im Libanon und in der gesamten Region beiträgt.

Die jüngsten diplomatischen Entwicklungen und Vereinbarungen zur Deeskalation geben Millionen von Menschen Hoffnung, die über Jahre hinweg unter Konflikten, Unsicherheit, Vertreibung und Leid gelitten haben.

Unsere Vereinigung ist fest davon überzeugt, dass die Völker des Nahen Ostens Frieden, Sicherheit und Würde verdienen sowie die Möglichkeit, eine prosperierende Zukunft frei von Krieg und Angst aufzubauen.

Wir unterstützen alle friedlichen Bemühungen, die zum Schutz der Zivilbevölkerung, zur Stärkung staatlicher Institutionen, zur Achtung des Völkerrechts und zur Umsetzung der einschlägigen internationalen Resolutionen beitragen.

Als Organisation, die sich dem Brückenbau zwischen Gemeinschaften und der Förderung des Dialogs widmet, hoffen wir, dass die aktuellen Entwicklungen zu mehr Stabilität, gegenseitigem Verständnis und einer Zukunft beitragen, in der Konflikte durch Diplomatie statt durch Gewalt gelöst werden.

The Lebanese Swiss Association welcomes every genuine step that contributes to reducing tensions, preventing further violence, and promoting stability in Lebanon and throughout the region.

Recent diplomatic developments and agreements aimed at de-escalation offer hope to millions of people who have endured years of conflict, uncertainty, displacement, and suffering.

Our Association firmly believes that the peoples of the Middle East deserve peace, security, dignity, and the opportunity to build prosperous futures free from war and fear.

We support all peaceful efforts that contribute to the protection of civilians, the strengthening of state institutions, respect for international law, and the implementation of relevant international resolutions.

As an organization dedicated to building bridges between communities and promoting dialogue, we hope that current developments will contribute to greater stability, mutual understanding, and a future in which conflicts are resolved through diplomacy rather than violence.

Our thoughts remain with all civilians affected by conflict, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or religion.

Peace, security, and human dignity must remain the common goal for all peoples of the region.

نحن، في الجمعية اللبنانية السويسرية، ومن موقعنا كجزء من الشعب اللبناني في الاغتراب، نؤكد رفضنا القاطع للحرب الدائرة على لبنان، وندعو إلى وقفٍ فوري لإطلاق النار، حفاظاً على أرواح المدنيين وصوناً لأمنهم وسلامتهم.

نعبّر عن تضامننا الكامل مع الشعب اللبناني، وحقه في العيش بأمان وكرامة، بعيداً عن الدمار والصراعات التي أنهكت الوطن لسنوات طويلة.

كما نؤكد أن مسألة السلاح خارج إطار الدولة، وفي مقدّمها سلاح حزب الله، تشكّل مشكلة أساسية وحقيقية تعيق قيام الدولة وتعرّض لبنان لمخاطر مستمرة. وانطلاقاً من ذلك، نطالب بنزع هذا السلاح ووضعه حصراً تحت سلطة الدولة اللبنانية، ممثلةً بالجيش اللبناني والقوى الأمنية الشرعية.

لقد حان الوقت لبناء دولة حقيقية، دولة السيادة والقانون. حان وقت استعادة القرار الوطني الحر، وتكريس مبدأ حصرية السلاح بيد الدولة.

وندعو فخامة رئيس الجمهورية جوزيف عون، ودولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء نواف سلام، إلى تحمّل مسؤولياتهم الوطنية والتاريخية، والعمل الفوري على تطبيق السيادة اللبنانية الكاملة، وتنفيذ القرارات الدولية الصادرة عن مجلس الأمن، بما يضمن استقرار لبنان وأمن شعبه.

Statement Issed by the Lebanese Swiss Association (LSA)
Zurich, April 10, 2026

We, at the Lebanese Swiss Association, as part of the Lebanese diaspora, express our firm rejection of the ongoing war on Lebanon and call for an immediate ceasefire, in order to protect civilian lives and ensure their safety and security.

We express our full solidarity with the Lebanese people and their right to live in safety and dignity, away from the destruction and conflicts that have exhausted the country for many years.

We also affirm that the issue of weapons outside the authority of the state, foremost among them the weapons of Hezbollah, constitutes a fundamental and serious problem that hinders the establishment of a functioning state and exposes Lebanon to continuous risks. Accordingly, we call for the disarmament of these weapons and their exclusive placement under the authority of the Lebanese state, represented by the Lebanese Armed Forces and legitimate security institutions.

The time has come to build a true state—a state of sovereignty and the rule of law. The time has come to restore independent national decision-making and to establish the principle that arms must be held exclusively by the state.

We call upon the President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, and the Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, to assume their national and historic responsibilities and to act immediately to fully implement Lebanese sovereignty and enforce the international resolutions issued by the United Nations Security Council, in a way that ensures Lebanon’s stability and the security of its people.
