What makes their approach interesting? They’re not using AI to replace people. They’re using it to help people learn from each other.

At flowit they believe every strong operation begins with teams who feel seen and supported.

Although leaders often sense something is off long before KPIs reveal it, they are left guessing what their teams truly need. FLOWIT’s Swiss-made AI listens through brief check-ins, combines scientifically grounded organizational psychology with performance data, and helps leaders understand the real story behind KPI changes. They give leaders clarity, direction, and the chance to act early.

With FLOWIT, teams feel heard, leaders feel more confident, and organizations can move forward with greater trust and stability.

FLOWIT emerged from a very real pain point within their own family business. As the company in the skilled trades sector grew rapidly, it became increasingly difficult for C-level leaders to stay closely connected to employees and their daily work reality.

While traditional KPIs continued to show operational performance, they didn’t reveal the psychological reality behind the numbers — how people actually felt, what motivated them, where tensions were building, or where potential for growth existed.

The team, Dr. Yasemin Tahris, Hosam Shahin, Bilâl Tahris and Stephan Müller realized that leadership needed a better way to understand the human dynamics behind the metrics. FLOWIT was created to make this invisible layer visible: giving organizations insight into employee sentiment, development, and collaboration — especially for people who aren’t sitting behind desks — and turning these insights into meaningful conversations, growth, and better leadership decisions.

What if packaging could protect a product without becoming a problem for the planet?

That’s the question S.Lab started with.

They use agricultural waste and mycelium — the root structure of fungi — to create protective packaging instead of relying on polystyrene and other petroleum-based materials that can take hundreds of years to break down.

Their packaging is strong, shock-absorbing, water- and heat-resistant, fully biodegradable and chemical-free. Once it has done its job, it can decompose in soil in around 30 days.

They are building something beyond the packaging itself.

That’s why they are developing automated production lines and compact, modular mini-factories that could make it possible to produce packaging locally, closer to where it’s needed.

Less transportation, less waste and a more scalable way of rethinking how products are packaged.

Their packaging is already being used for electronics, beauty products, jewellery and more.

So far, they’ve helped save:
→ 15 tons of CO₂
→ 2.5 tons of plastic waste
→ 24,000 litres of water

Not only is S.Lab a great example of how entrepreneurship can turn a very familiar problem into an opportunity for change but also about how sometimes innovation isn’t about creating something completely new.

Innovation can be about looking at something we’ve accepted for decades and asking: can we do this differently?
