📢 Call for Collaboration Proposals: four Kenyan water utilities are looking for WASH enterprises to help them tackle their climate challenges 💧

Gatundu, Limuru, Kisii and Kericho are dealing with siltation, shrinking water sources, high water losses, flood damage and sanitation gaps. They want enterprise partners who can take on a lasting operational role, from monitoring and treatment as a service to managing network zones.

Selected enterprises get direct access to utility decision-makers, a co-designed and funded pilot at operational scale, and support to grow it into a long-term partnership. Shortlisted applicants join a co-creation workshop with the utilities in Nairobi on 16 to 18 November.

We know that across Uganda and beyond, WASH entrepreneurs are solving the same problems in isolation: access to finance, technical expertise, and a real voice with policymakers and funders. Individually, that work is hard - together, it doesn't have to be.

This is why we're excited to share that for the past weeks, a group of entrepreneurs and facilitators has been working behind the scenes to shape what a MajiCommunity Uganda could look like: not a top-down initiative, but something built by the entrepreneurs who will actually use it.

Tomorrow, 23 September, we're opening that conversation to everyone at the Summit. Entrepreneurs, this session is for you. Join us to hear what's emerged so far and help shape what comes next!

Ya está disponible el Manual de innovación abierta en agua y saneamiento rural. 📘

Esta metodología nació de una experiencia desarrollada en Antioquia, Colombia, junto a AsoCamilo y AMBA, dos organizaciones comunitarias que gestionan servicios de agua y saneamiento en los municipios de Amagá y Ciudad Bolívar.

A partir de este trabajo, Cewas y Young Water Solutions desarrollamos una metodología para impulsar procesos de innovación abierta junto a organizaciones comunitarias, autoridades y otros actores del ecosistema de innovación.

¡Llegó la primera edición de Aquapreneurs en Latinoamérica!💧

Con el financiamiento del Hub Regional Lima de la Swiss Development & Cooperation (COSUDE), impulsada e implementada por Young Water Solutions y Cewas Latinoamérica, y con el apoyo del Inter-American Development Bank (BID), la Universidad Ean y la Fundación para el Emprendimiento IMPACTA, Pacto Global Red Colombia y otras organizaciones aliadas, llega a Colombia una plataforma de articulación para el ecosistema de emprendimiento en agua y saneamiento.

Aquapreneurs no es solo un evento o un espacio de encuentro. Es un proceso de articulación que conecta emprendedores, sector público, cooperación internacional, inversionistas, academia y actores clave alrededor de conversaciones, iniciativas y oportunidades reales para el sector.

En el centro de este proceso se encuentra la Cumbre Aquapreneurs 2026 en Bogotá, un espacio diseñado para promover el trabajo colaborativo, la co definición de prioridades y la construcción de nuevas alianzas e iniciativas para el sector de agua y saneamiento.

Muy pronto estaremos compartiendo más información sobre esta iniciativa y sobre cómo participar en la Cumbre Aquapreneurs 2026, que contará con cupos limitados. ¡Queden atentos a esta gran iniciativa!

The first edition of Aquapreneurs is coming to Latin America! 💧

With funding from the Lima Regional Hub of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), led and implemented by Young Water Solutions and Cewas Latin America, and supported by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Universidad EAN and Fundación IMPACTA, Pacto Global Red Colombia and other partner organizations, Aquapreneurs arrives in Colombia as a platform for the water and sanitation entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Aquapreneurs is not just an event or a meeting space. It is a collaborative process that connects entrepreneurs, public institutions, international cooperation, investors, academia and key actors around real conversations, initiatives and opportunities for the sector.

At the center of this process is the Aquapreneurs Summit 2026 in Bogotá, a space designed to promote collaboration, joint priorities and the creation of new partnerships and initiatives for the water and sanitation sector.

More information about this initiative and about how to participate in the Aquapreneurs Summit 2026 will be shared very soon. Stay tuned for this exciting initiative!
