Il Clean-Up Tour Italia è ufficialmente ripartito con la primissima tappa di questa stagione a Courmayeur, proprio ai piedi del Monte Bianco 🚀🇮🇹

È stato un debutto fantastico ed eravamo davvero tantissimi: ben 131 partecipanti, tra cui molti bambini e ragazzi che si sono rimboccati le maniche per dare una mano all’ambiente.

I risultati della giornata:
⛰️ 131 partecipanti hanno raccolto oltre 711 kg di rifiuti
🚬 750 mozziconi e tantissima plastica

Sapete quale è stato il ?
🚗 Un intero pneumatico abbandonato

Un grande grazie a tutti coloro che si sono uniti a noi e hanno ripulito questa bellissima zona, e un grazie speciale ai ragazzi che ci hanno aiutato nella gestione e nel conteggio dei materiali.

Last weekend we went to Gryon & La Tzoumaz 👀

- 57 volunteers collected 126.6 kg of waste and 500 cigarette butts in Gryon
- 45 participants collected 36 kg of waste and 1500 cigarette butts in La Tzoumaz

Wildlife is heavily affected by litter pollution and may accidentally ingest plastics by confusing them with food or get entangled in them.

This can:
• poison animals through toxic chemicals
• prevent animals from feeding properly
• lead to injury or death

Prevention starts in the field, we are raising awareness where it matters. 337 MIAM! awareness signs installed across 69 mountain destinations since 2022.

Let’s be responsible and work together against littering to protect the wildlife of our mountains.🩵

Hier soir s’est tenue notre conférence « Perspectives sur la pollution en montagne », co-organisée par .ngo et à
 
Cet évènement s’inscrit dans le cadre de notre nouveau pôle scientifique « Summit Science » dédié à la recherche scientifique en montagne et à la diffusion des connaissances auprès du grand public.
Un grand merci à nos intervenant.es pour la qualité de leurs échanges :

🌿Philippe Vonnard, pour son éclairage sur l’histoire de l’action environnementale dans les Alpes
🛞 Florian Breider, pour son intervention sur les particules issues de l’usure des pneus
🔬 Anna Carratala, pour sa présentation sur la diversité microbienne des lacs alpins comme indicateur du changement climatique
Félicitations également à notre directeur et fondateur, , pour son témoignage retraçant les 25 ans d’histoire de la Fondation.

30 participants collected 82.5 kg of waste and 1’125 cigarette butts in Lenk on May 09th

23 participants collected 53.5 kg of waste and 1’750 cigarette butts in Adelboden on May 10th

- 290 food packaging items
- 2,125 cigarette butts
- 200 construction site waste items
