With the start of Ramadan, MECI launched its scientific and cultural online competitions led by our computer facilitators, Zainab and Fatima. Over 120 children are participating daily, showing strong engagement and love for digital learning 💻✨

We also celebrated last week’s winners at the MECI computer labs with a small fun activity, reinforcing our commitment to future-ready skills.

As part of our ongoing community service program, students in six Ramallah schools came together this week to improve their school environments, building a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and belonging along the way.

The impact was visible in both the children and their surroundings.

Each team member added their fingerprint to a tree, surrounding the words:
“Your print makes change.”

A moment of deep pride and gratitude. 🏅🌿

During MECI’s 20th Anniversary Peace Concert, we were honoured to receive the Peace Award from the UN-mandated University for Peace (UPEACE).

In his remarks, Vice-Rector Juan Carlos Sainz-Borgo shared:
“The University for Peace was created by the UN General Assembly with a mandate to train people in the promotion of peace. When we evaluated MECI’s work, the results were remarkable; a model that fosters dignity, resilience, and hope in an incredibly challenging context.”

We thank UPEACE for this meaningful recognition and for believing in the transformative power of education.

What an unforgettable evening. ✨

Last week, we celebrated MECI’s 20th Anniversary with a Peace Concert in Vevey, an evening filled with music, hope, and extraordinary solidarity.

We were honoured to welcome the Barenboim–Said musicians 🎶 from Ramallah and Seville, whose generosity and artistry touched every person in the room.

We are also proud and humbled to have received the Peace Award from the University for Peace (UPEACE), recognizing MECI’s commitment to protecting education and promoting dignity and resilience for children and families in the West Bank.
