We’re proud to launch MECI’s 2026 Summer Peace Camps, providing safe, structured, and supportive spaces for children across the West Bank and Bethlehem.

This summer, 1,549 children are already participating in remedial education, psychosocial support, peacebuilding activities, sports, arts, and recreational learning, bringing moments of safety, learning, and hope during a difficult time.

A second phase will begin on 23 July, reaching even more children with the care, stability, and support they deserve.

Because even in times of uncertainty, hope continues to grow,
one child,
one camp,
and one community at a time.

The Middle East Children’s Institute (MECI), represented by its Director Mr. Salah Dhraghmeh, Administrative Assistant Maryam Shuaibi, and Field Supervisor Mohammed Atwan, visited the Municipality of Bani Zeid Al-Gharbiya to congratulate Mr. Abdulrahman Abed Aljwad Al-Rimawi on his appointment as Mayor. 🤝

During the visit, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and partnership in serving the local community, particularly in supporting children and schools, empowering women, and advancing community development initiatives.

We were grateful to gather with friends and partners in Geneva this week to share more about the realities facing children and families in the communities we serve.

It was an evening of meaningful conversations, connection, and solidarity.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and stood alongside our mission. Your presence matters, and your support helps us continue showing up for children who need stability, care, and hope. 💚

With the start of Ramadan, MECI launched its scientific and cultural online competitions led by our computer facilitators, Zainab and Fatima. Over 120 children are participating daily, showing strong engagement and love for digital learning 💻✨

We also celebrated last week’s winners at the MECI computer labs with a small fun activity, reinforcing our commitment to future-ready skills.

As the new year begins, it brings smiles that refuse to fade, voices that say “we are here” and hearts that still know how to dream 💛

This is not just a new year,
this is ambition,
love,
and hope,
seen through the eyes of children.

Happy New Year 2026 🎉✨

As the year comes to a close, we want to thank you.

This has been a difficult year for so many families and communities in the Holy Land. Because of you, MECI continued to show up for children: keeping classrooms open, offering psychosocial care, and creating moments of normalcy and safety where they are needed most.
This Christmas, we wish you and your families peace, warmth, and light. ✨

Thank you for standing with us and for believing, as we do, in the power of education and hope.
