Childbirth is not something a woman simply recovers from in six weeks. Her body goes through enormous physical, hormonal, and emotional changes, and recovery looks different for every mother. Some heal quickly, while others need months or longer to feel like themselves again.
A postpartum checkup is an important milestone, not a deadline for recovery. Mothers deserve patience, support, rest, and understanding long after the newborn stage.
Disclaimer: Recovery timelines vary. There is no universal timeline for hormones, brain changes, or pelvic floor healing. Persistent pain, incontinence, or emotional distress should be discussed with a healthcare professional.
