2022 UKRAINIANS REFUGEES SUPPORT
This is the fastest-moving refugee crisis since the end of the Second World War, with more than 1.3 million Ukrainians having left the country since the Russian invasion begun at the end of February. While the refugees lived in a developed country, most with settled and financially stable lives, the destruction of war has left the majority with very little but th
eir names, often needing the most basic aid and support. Currently, most of these Ukrainian refugees have crossed the border into Poland so this is where we will concentrate our aid. Through our partners and with volunteers will be working on the ground at the Poland-Ukrainian border to provide people with basic products, food and drinks. Our volunteers will be welcoming and considerate, offering the emotional support and counselling that so many of these people desperately need. Our experience of helping in other refugee camps and crises means we can work effectively and empathetically to help those who need it. We would be incredibly grateful for any money you might be willing to donate, we will be spending any money fundraised to ensure we can buy products and sustenance, with the money going directly to those who have crossed the border. This help is more urgent than ever, with the UNHCR expecting that more than 4 million people to become refugees and with agencies counting up to 80,000 people crossing into Poland every day. Polish aid organisations have announced they are already at breaking point and the longer the Russian invasion lasts, the more imperative our cause is. Sadly, this is not the only project our team has worked on during recent years. We have a track-record of successfully helping refugees and now we will be turning our focus towards Eastern Europe, helping in any way we can.
