not always easy, but always worth it!

All of this in Val Müstair - a quiet valley in the Swiss Alps, surrounded by mountains, nature and fresh air 🌿🗻

22.04 was Earth Day 🌍 but April is Earth Month 🌱

So it’s not too late to stop for a second and think about what we can do daily for the planet.

Small things, but they matter:
💧 save water
🛍️ buy second-hand instead of new
🥦 plan your meals & don’t waste food
♻️ reuse what you already have

You don’t have to be perfect, just start somewhere.

👇 What’s one thing you already do (or want to start) to help our planet?

4 THINGS people get wrong about dry stone walls:

❌ You need cement.
Dry stone walls are built without any cement or glue.
The stability comes from carefully choosing and placing each stone so that they lock together naturally.

❌ You need strong people.
Strength helps, but the real skill is finding the right stone and placing it correctly.
Sometimes the best builders are the most patient ones.

❌ You need modern tools.
For centuries, dry stone walls were built with very simple tools — and a lot of experience. The technique hasn’t changed much over time.

❌ They are unstable.
A well-built dry stone wall can stand for hundreds of years and adapt to small movements in the ground better than cement walls.

Dry stone walling is a traditional craft that has shaped landscapes in many countries.

And the best way to understand it?
🪨 By trying it yourself.
