de Vigier will Jungunternehmern in der Schweiz zu dem verhelfen, was ihm bei der Gründung seiner Firma 1935 gefehlt hat und was guten Ideen meist fehlt: das nötige Startkapital. Seit der Gründung im Jahre 1987 heisst das Ziel der W.A. de Vigier Stiftung: aktive Wirtschaftsförderung durch direkte finanzielle Unterstützung (à fonds perdu) junger Leute mit innovativen Geschäftsideen, die ein leistung

s- und wachstumsorientiertes Unternehmen in der Schweiz aufbauen wollen. Seit ihrem 28jährigen Bestehen hat die Stiftung insgesamt über 10 Millionen Franken Startkapital verteilt. Daraus resultierten bis heute mehr als 75 erfolgreiche Start-ups, ein erfolgreicher Börsengang, mehrere nicht weniger erfolgreiche Firmenverkäufe und vor allem viele neue Arbeitsplätze.

Looking back at Connection Day 2026 in Neuchâtel ✨✨✨

The top 17 founders came together for a full day of meaningful exchanges—diving into topics like storytelling and product–market fit, but also opening up about the real challenges they’re facing.

What stood out most? For one day, the “competition” mindset was set aside. In its place: founders sharing experiences, giving candid feedback, and offering support.

And for some, a rare and refreshing break —time to talk, listen, and not touch their laptops.

🎬 Some stories deserve to be told. ⭐

At this year’s Selection Day, we premiered a short documentary about Claudia Marcoli and her company NANOVIS GMBH — a W.A. de Vigier Award winner from 2008. Today, we’re sharing it with the rest of the world.

Claudia set out to clean up the printing industry — literally. Nanovis develops innovative cleaning systems that remove ink and contaminants from printing equipment without harmful solvents, using recyclable cleaning agents and nano-scale processes. Cleaner technology, lower costs, better for people and planet. 🌎

Nearly two decades later, her company is going strong, delivering their machines to destinations all over the world. Watching alumni like Claudia build lasting ventures is exactly what inspires us to keep supporting innovative founders from day one.
