• Ensemble in residence: Ensemble Intercontemporain
• Composition professors in residence: Chaya Czernowin, Michael Jarrell, Oscar Bianchi
• Additional guest professors and artists
• World premieres, professional recordings, and rehearsal sessions with Ensemble Intercontemporain
• Scholarships available
• Opportunities for reprogramming of selected works at international festivals in Switzerland
• Launch of the new festival Alta Voce, fostering dialogue between emerging composers and today’s leading musical voices

We are thrilled to announce the selected composers and conductors for the 2025 edition of the IYCA, which will be held from July 4 to July 13, 2025, in the enchanting Onsernone Valley (Ticino, Switzerland).

The selection of participants embodies our dedication to celebrating a rich latitude of aesthetics, personalities, and cultural backgrounds. It’s been wonderful to witness the sheer amount of talent blossoming worldwide. Still, given our pursuit to embrace a broad spectrum of artistry and because of limited spots, we couldn’t include as many excellent candidates as we wished!

Under the guidance of Francesca Verunelli, Andile Khumalo, Oscar Bianchi, Titus Engel, and Ensemble Modern, this experience promises to be transformative. We eagerly anticipate connecting with you all soon in the Wild Valley!
