Indian Muslims raise Alarm at United Nations over Halal Meat Ban and the deteriorating situation of rights of Muslims enabled by questionable Judicial rulings.

Muhammed Mansoor, general secretary of International Council of Indian Muslims (ICIM) makes this powerful statement at the recently concluded 16th Minority rights session at UN, Geneva��ICIM wants an India that is peaceful and safe to all Indians irrespective of religion. But the current transformation of India from a fair-democracy to an autocratic state is not conductive. In the aftermath of the Babri Masjid demolition, followed by India's Supreme court's Judgment has fuelled deep exclusion of Muslims, loss of their trust and emboldened state & non-state Hindu Extremists to target other places of Worship of Minorities in India. The recent unconstitutional ban on "Halal" meat in UP is another unfortunate assault on India's Muslims & their trust. ICIM makes a plea for UN intervention to address the demeaning condition of Muslims and Minorities in India and appeals to Indian Gov to take steps to win back their trust in Indian Democracy.
