World Obstacle's members are the national federations from over 100 countries. World Obstacle was granted GAISF Observer Status in 2021.

National federations represent the needs and interests of their athletes and obstacle sports communities. World Obstacle, the Fédération Internationale de Sports d'Obstacles (FISO), is the world governing body for obstacle sports, Ninja Competitions, Obstacle Course Racing (OCR), Adventure Racing and related disciplines. We are a not-for-profit organization and do not pursue any objectives for o

The World Obstacle facilitates safety, fairness, and opportunities for athletes to compete at every level. This includes international results and rankings, officials, training, rule enforcement, insurance services, coaching, training camps, event information, event services, news, education, adjudication, and more. Who We Are

The World Obstacle (FISO) is a not-for-profit independent international organisation made up of volunteers to represent the needs of the athletes. The President presides over all its activities, while the FISO Congress and Executive Board are responsible for taking the main decisions for the organisation. Member national federations represent the athletes in the FISO Congress and propose and vote on policies and rules for their benefit.

Congratulations to .jonaczyk of Poland for a new World Record!

Kasia currently holds the World Record for the fastest time on the 100M Competition Course. She recently bettered her 2024 WR on her final run in Spain at OCR European Championships 2026. As well as setting a new WR, she also gained her 5th consecutive title of European Champion.

How epic was it to see the 100M finals at ?! 🤩

So many close battles. All of them earned, nothing given. Each round was truly, truly exciting.

Kasia took home her 5th 100M European title! 4 of those being across the Competition course. She also set a blazing fast new World Record, with a time of 29.470 🚀

On the men’s side, Iurii also retained his European Champion title - making this his third time of obtaining it 🏆

The standard course race at was incredible. What a fight on both sides!

Both Elsa and Stijn retained their European titles - but it was far from easy. Gonçalo made Stijn work incredibly hard, finishing just 6s behind. Elsa pulled away from the pack towards the end, leaving a battle for the podium going on between Tatsiana, Siri, Bea & Svetlana. If you didn’t get the chance to watch live, we’d recommend watching it back ASAP!

Congratulations to all athletes for completing this course. It really was incredible to see.

We’ve had an incredible weekend of racing here in Irún at 🇪🇺🏆

The cross country races started out on Friday, and we kicked things off with the short course.

Congratulations to an incredible podium of athletes in the 3K. New European champions were crowned on both the mens and womens side.

The only athlete amongst these that podiumed at OCREC 3K last year was Bea Rubio (2nd 3K Elite in Portugal). This really does show the amazing depth of the field in Europe. Incredible.

Don’t forget that this season we’ve made some changes in the teams categories at OCR European Championships, OCR 400M European Championships & OCR World Championships 2026 🧑‍🤝‍🧑🧑‍🤝‍🧑

National Elite teams remain the same. But competitive teams change to become National Age Group Teams.

Since we announced this change, we have listened to feedback and changed the 16-19 category to simply become 16+. The next category is 30+.

The age group is determined by the youngest member of the team.
