Why Do Missions?
Why leave our family, our nation, our language, and go?
Sometimes this can be the question in our hearts. Yet it is there, in the discomfort of our yes, that the Lord’s heart begins to grow within us.

He opens our eyes to the beauty of His people—to every tribe and nation He created, to the sound of every language through which He speaks, and to the cultures in every corner of the world that reflect something of who He is.
In the eyes of those in need, we see Christ.

So why wouldn’t we go? Why wouldn’t we find a new family, make the place where we are sent feel like our own nation, let the love of God become our language, and keep trusting that His voice will guide our steps?

“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.”
Revelation 7:9

Last Friday, we came together as a community to pray, fast, and wait on the Lord. 🙏

It was also a special time of unity as YWAM Switzerland, with friends from other bases joining us in prayer. Together, we lifted up Europe and all that God is doing across this continent.

As always, we ended our day praying for the nations—longing to see His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 🌍

You can learn a lot from a good shepherd. In MLD we learn from the Best Shepherd there ever was.

as the verses go;
John 10:27: "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me."
Isaiah 40:11: "God as a caring and gentle shepherd who feeds his flock, gathers the lambs in his arms, carries them close to his heart, and tenderly leads the mothers and their young."
John 21:15-17: "feed my lambs," "tend my sheep," and "feed my sheep"

Join us for the launch of the DNA Seminar, where we'll uncover the rich heritage that fuels our future.

This dynamic gathering is designed to inspire a fresh wave of missional projects, aligned with God's purpose.

By having staff who have served faithfully over the years blended around the table with staff just starting their YWAM journey, the learning is multiplied. So we welcome staff of all ages to be a part of this.
