Free Solo follows Alex Honnold as he attempts the first-ever free solo climb of a route on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park in California in 2017. It’s breathtaking, intense, and almost impossible to watch without holding your breath.

🧗‍♂️Indoor Climbing Courses🧗‍♂️
Sign up for indoor climbing courses taught by Nicola Offeddu in Echandens!

1️⃣ *Beginner course:* no climbing experience required. The goal is to learn how to belay safely (top rope and lead) and to improve your climbing technique. If you already have some experience, Nico will adjust the level to make sure you remain sufficiently challenged :)

2️⃣ *Advanced course: *The requirement is to know how to dynamically belay for lead climbing (with Grigri or similar device). The goal is to further improve climbing technique. Nico will help each participant to identify and work on the skills they need to advance. No specific climbing grade requirement; most people here will climb around mid-6 range.

📅 Each course takes place 10 times on Wednesdays throughout the semester (beginners 17:30–19:30, advanced 19:45–21:45). Both courses start on March 18, for the remaining dates see registration page below.

📍Rocspot Echandens

💸CHF 400.- includes the entrance to the gym and any rental gear you may need (harness, rope, belaying device, shoes). A discount is available if you already have a gym subscription.

🗣️ Courses are taught in French or English depending on the participants (and Nico will likely speak whatever your native language is too).

Each course has 8 spots. The minimum number of participants is 6. If this number is not reached, the price will of course be fully refunded. (The unavailable spots in the advanced course are already taken by last semester’s students who continue the course.)

We still have 4 last-minute spots available for our Skitouring Intro Day *next Sunday 15.02.26* perfect for anyone who wants to experience their first skitouring day in a fun and supportive environment. *You need to be comfortable with all types of snow.*

For just in case, here comes a more detailed description:

You will learn basics of the sport and the mountain under the instruction of a professional mountain guide. The exact location will depend on the conditions and the guide’s decision, it is however guaranteed that it will be accessible by public transport

Important information:
💸 85.- for Agepoly member, 110.- for non-Agepoly member per person

🏔️ You have to be a member of Club Montagne

🚞 Transport: Transport to the location will not be organised by Club Montagne, but we will create a WhatsApp group to facilitate planning. In case of low snow coverage you might need a to pay for a lift ticket.

🎿 Equipment: If you have your own equipment we would like you to bring it. The DVA (avalanche security) kits can be rented without an additional fee from Club Montagne.
The gear can be rented at CM rental (limited amount) and at Decathlon Bussigny for 59 chf.

🚶‍♂️Participant-guide ratio: maximum six participants per guide.

✅ Prerequisities: You have to have a certain level of skiing, feel comfortable on different slopes and maybe already have done some off-piste. If you did ski touring for 0 to 5 times, this course is for you and you will spend a nice day.
(More advanced ski tours will be organized separately :) )

We currently offer two ski touring introductory days. There will also be a multi-day ski touring introduction in the beginning of February. Stay tuned.
