The European Bridge League and the World Bridge Federation invite Tournament Directors to Istanbul for four days of training, updates and exchange.

The Workshop is held in memory of Ton Kooijman.

👀 The Workshop will train and update Tournament Directors on several topics and will include a summary overview on the changes to the current ⚖ Laws of Duplicate Bridge, which will start to take effect in 2027.

✨ The Workshop is primarily addressed to Tournament Directors who are not yet included in the EBL/WBF register. Participants who are successful in the Workshops will be entitled to attend the next Max Bavin TD Course, where they will have the opportunity of achieving the level of WBF/EBL Director. All Tournament Directors (including those who have been in the register for some time) are nevertheless welcome to attend the Workshop in Istanbul, in order to update their knowledge and practise their skills.

ℹ All the information is set out on the Workshop page, and applications are made through the registration form:

The 2nd eBridge Cup begins today, May 1st. Jointly hosted by BBO (Bridge Base Online) and Funbridge, the tournament will unfold across three stages and culminate in a live final in Katowice, Poland, this August.

A particularly meaningful aspect of the initiative, supported by the World Bridge Federation (WBF), is that it represents an opportunity for National Bridge Organizations: a share of the revenue will be allocated to them, with contributions distributed in proportion to the number of players from each country who took part in the event. In this way, individual participation translates into tangible support for national bridge movements around the world.
