Today we’re celebrating someone very special to the FISM Family: Angela Roby!

Angela has been a wonderful supporter of young magicians for many years. Through the Fred and Angela Roby Fund, her generous support helps young talents take an incredible step in their magical journey: competing at the FISM World Championship of Magic.

And that means a lot.

Supporting young magicians isn’t just about helping them get to a championship. It’s about giving them the chance to dream big, gain experience, meet fellow magicians from around the world and become part of the future of magic.

So today, it’s our turn to put Angela in the spotlight! 🥳

Today, FISM International proudly celebrates an incredible milestone: 75 years of the Dutch Magical Union (Nederlandse Magische Unie – NMU)! 🇳🇱✨

For three quarters of a century, the Dutch Magical Union has inspired, connected, and supported generations of magicians, playing a vital role in promoting and preserving the art of magic in The Netherlands and beyond.

Your passion, dedication, and commitment have helped shape a vibrant magical community and inspired countless performers over the past 75 years.

On behalf of the entire global FISM family, we extend our warmest congratulations to all members, volunteers, past and present leaders, and everyone who has contributed to this remarkable legacy.

In Memoriam — Juan Tamariz (1942–2026)

The world of magic has lost one of its true masters.

Juan Tamariz was far more than an extraordinary magician. He was a teacher, thinker, innovator and an inspiration to generations of magicians around the world. His unique personality, unmistakable laughter and profound understanding of our art made him one of the most influential figures in modern magic.

His legacy will live on through his performances, his teachings and in the countless magicians whose lives and magic he touched.
FISM International extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends and the entire magic community.

Thank you for the magic, Maestro.
Your magic will live on.

It is with great sadness that we recieved the news of the passing of Guy Lamelot, former President of the Fédération Française des Artistes Prestidigitateurs (AFAP/FFAP), the organization that later evolved into today's French Magic Federation.

Guy Lamelot dedicated many years of his life to the advancement of the magical arts and played a significant role in the development of organized magic in France. His leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment helped shape the future of the French magic community and strengthened its place within the international magical family.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Guy will remember a man of conviction, passion, and dedication. He believed deeply in the importance of preserving, promoting, and passing on the art of magic to future generations. His contributions will continue to inspire magicians for many years to come.
On behalf of the FISM Board of Directors and the worldwide FISM community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Laurence, his children Alexandra, Florian, and Solenn, his family, friends, and all members of the French magic community.

Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
